Nice goal. Shows what we can do if we play it on the ground. Far too many high balls.

We needed that! Wigan’s defending is awful!

Just need late consolation from Wigan and that'll be the prediction league sorted.

Edwards has looked sharp since he’s come on.

A positive note: We are seemingly to able to create opportunities rapidly...just not enough.

But that's almost a mirror image of last season as well. Starts great then rapidly fades. Loses form.

I just read we’ve only won 2 of the last 30 televised matches!
3 out of the last 31 by Sunday afternoon 😁
Good call Andym.
Even though we won, it looks like we still struggle to turn on the style for televised games

Can't even judge Holys performance....... Zero shots on target for shitty 4th division Wigan.

Well done PL & co. Big game and you done it. 👍👌

Doesn’t matter who takes them, we won’t score direct from a free kick all season.

Honest opinion not good enough. Should of scored more but also could of conceded 3 or 4. Edwards or Jackson needs to start in front of Sears Norwood instead of Drnian. Get kvy back also Wolfy things can only improve.Nice to win on TV. .

They were sh*t free-kicks, but Freddie got an assist for the first and I don’t blame him at all for not squaring the ball. He made the chance with some great work down the left and we see all the time players dithering and trying to walk the ball into the net. ...and then fluffing their lines. If tap-ins were so easy, Wilson would have scored. Just keep Freddie away from free-kicks.

Minor side-note. We won.

We weren't great but they are far from the whipping boys some think, they are ok. We could have been 2 down but then could have been 3 up but for wigan to have zero attempts on target you deserve nothing. Decent start and we move on to Bristol Rovers next weekend, after Fulham on Tuesday. We also have to remember the amount of players we have missing today too.

Well, "very good" is a few steps down from "incredible" so maybe he's spot on?

Yes a win is a win, so that's super! Imagine if we'd lost...we'd be really pissed off. Good points about players being out etc. We definitely had bursts of great passing and attacks. I thought we were a bit weak in midfield even though Bish scored. Also Dozzell certainly has great vision; my mind is beginning to change about him. Ward was solid at the back and moved forward well. I thought Chambers got caught out a few times when he moved forward. Sometimes that right side was empty and exposed. Freddie did well, but shouldn't take free kicks. I don't like Norwood taking corners...why isn't Dozzell the corner and free kick taker? He's the most accurate passer. Edwards showed the energy and commitment to earn the shirt when he came on. Drinan seemed a bit out muscled by Wigan's big defenders.

It's great to win especially with such a dismal record on live tv. I'm happy with the win, but I think we need much improvement if we are to be promotion contenders. We need much more energy and speed, which hopefully we'll see soon. It was brilliant to watch my ToWn live on tv in Dallas, Texas! It sucked waking up at 530am for the match, but well worth it. Now it's time for a morning bike ride!

Morning bike ride! Exclamation? This an actual bike ride or something else? Is there a bike involved? Or just Blood & honey and the bird upstairs?

:D I'm BACK, We actually Fooking won, I dont know how as we certainly ain't the finished product yet, but as BM said Wigan are not going to be the whipping boys of this division, once they have got the finances and ownership sorted, they will be a force to be reckoned with. Now have we not got anyone else other than Chambers for the RB position, again he makes mistakes getting turned by the very quick tricky winger, and allowing him far too much room to cross the ball, you cannot give 5 yards of bloody space to them, also Chamo you ain't a F*****g wing back old son, your too slow, Cant wait for KVY to get back into the RWB action, also his Achilles injury is taking far too long to heal up, there's a hidden problem there somewhere.
Now if PL gives Dozzell more game time there's loads to come from him, his passing and vision is superb, Norwood Nope sorry like a tug boat chugging around, and please lose some F*****G weight you might be able to move quicker, and as for Freddie and his free kicks, gee i wish Garbutt was still here, he would show Freddie how to take free kicks with more accuracy, or as stated let Dozzell take them.

I can also see why PL brought on Edwards, to F*****G stop Chambers trying to be a wing back,if we must play Chambo at RB make sure he sticks to his attended player like sh*t to a blanket, but doubt he could do that for 90 mins.
Now did anyone else notice on the neck part of Freddie's shirt, it looked like he had a small box shape thing under the shirt ??? WTF was it, is it a pace maker
Now as for Fulham on Tuesday night, have a feeling we are going to get tonked just like the Arsenal under 21's did, but its the league that's the most important this season, not useless cup games. COYB

Haha yes a bicycle is involved. When I got laid off in May, I started cycling to keep me sane and to off-set my alcohol intake. No bird upstairs anymore...just an old lady who has her noisy grandkids over all the time. The Asian lady(for those who remember) is missing in action. I still think she's just avoiding me!

I really wonder what some fans expect sometimes, I really do. 2 goals, clean sheet, plenty of chances created, dominated possession for long periods. Only a 15 minute period in the second half did we looked stretched.

I have said this before and will say it again, in professional football it is very rare one team controls the game for 90 minutes, especially league games.

People spend too much time looking at the negatives rather than positives.
