Pretty open game. Sloppy at times, but we look good in patches. I think we shaded that, but Rochdale to their credit are giving it a go.
I’m sure they’ll be comments of too many long balls, but mostly they’re cross field passes which find our wide men. Maybe at times we need to go direct to Hawkins. Quite enjoying the game TBH.

Going forward we look good should be in front. But we keep giving it away and they break and have had half chances. Hawkins could of had a hatrick. Holds up play good as well. Sears needs to come off he is not a winger.
You can see why Portsmouth had 24 attempts at goal last week but they do look dangerous when we give it away.

You can see why they have not conceded many recently happy to sit back and play on the counter. Memories of many games last season however we have created some great chances and probably deserve to go in ahead.

Me too Tang. 0-0 at half time and nearing a chance for a frustrated Norwood to come on and open his account as well as pick up our first yellow of the match.....double bubble for my predictions! After that last gasp ManU winner writing off my 2-2 prediction, heaven knows i need Norwood to get on that pitch.

An open game. We look good going forward. Lots if positives. Still look less than convincing at the back.

Get in there Teddy. Bit of a steal that one....
As an aside..... Freddie needs to give up free-kicks.

Re: Ipswich Town vs Rochdale AFC Preview & Matchday Thread
Agree with Mick Mills in that we did tend to sit back too much and invite Rochdale onto us near the end. However, another 3 points, another clean sheet lots to be positive about.

Re: Ipswich Town vs Rochdale AFC Preview & Matchday Thread
Acid test for Town will come against any of the expected top 6-8 teams I think . Our defence comfortable at time today but not convinced we’ll keep better teams out .
