What an extraordinary Super Sunday.....

Post by Charnwood » Sun Oct 04, 2020 10:03 pm

Who says Premier League Football is longer exciting....

Leicester City 0 - 3 West Ham United
Manchester United 1-6 Tottenham
Aston Villa 7-2 Liverpool

It doesn’t get much better than this, but why don’t we get these sort of games in full stadiums for the fans to enjoy ?

Sorry to contradict myself, but I think it’s obvious fans have an effect on players and results.

You may well have point there No 9, but are you thinking of fans having a positive uplifting effect, negative effect, or both ?

My prediction of Liverpool not conceding looks a bit silly now! That is a particularly eye-opening result!
Be lucky if i scored a single point in the prediction league this weekend!

Feel sorry for the fans, missing some of these amazing scorelines.

You won’t be alone Mark, the only sensible outcome in the Prediction League this weekend was Chelsea keeping a clean sheet v Palace.
I mean who would have expected Town to only have 34% possession yesterday or a total of just 3 shots on target + corners, or even Leicester City to get hammered at home or even simply not scoring just days after sticking five past Manchester City at The Etihad, just crazy.

Leicester beat Man City then get turned over by West Ham at home. If I were Spurs I would be worried given their next game is also against the Hammers!

What a cracker that should be on the same weekend as Liverpool go to Goodson Park and Arsenal visit The Etihad, some great fixtures there for the Prediction League.

The amazing thing is, the above doesn't even happen in Football Manager 2020 (and some really weird sh*t occurs in this version btw)

Reports are that Everton have contacted the local authorities. Their neighbours let in 7. Apparently 6 is the maximum.

I wonder if the Liverpool, Leicester and Man U fans have taken to social media to rant about losing and that it was “ only WHU,” or “Only Spurs “ or “ only Villa” , and what a disgrace their managers are ... “a joke” etc etc ? ...... you get my drift ! :D

I think both. It is even more unusual how these extraordinary results happened on the same weekend. Maybe Mars is not aligned correctly with Jupiter or something...oh of course!...how could I have missed it. It's Marko's birthday ffs!

I don't see what goes on in the EPL so this was news to me. Recent time maybe seven eight years back there were a Manchester United / Arsenal game that finished 8 - 1 to the visitors if correct so in theory anything goes up there.

Can't abide LFC and pleased with that score. Shame there weren't fans in attendance at Witton to savor the experience but a fine result nonetheless. f*ck them in all truth. Is a West Sham win at Leicester really that significant ? Yeah they won the League recently but even so.

Spurs in Manchester, admit that was a surprise. Mourinho goes back to his old employers and takes a big victory, would have been some interesting scenes in the team changing area thereafter.
