Re: Transfer Rumours
He looks a strong lad. Very left-footed. Likes to take on the full-back on the outside. Hope he’s got more about him than Georgiou, who has a similar background.
I suppose he’s competition for Sears on the wing.
It makes me smile when Lambert goes on about ‘they’re only kids’ when he talks about our players like Folami. This guy is the same age as Folami and McGuiness is even younger. Don’t think it’s necessarily about age. Basically, these kids are just deemed better than our kids, which is fair enough.

Re: Transfer Rumours
I see Everton have forked our £30m for the Nodge player, which is an utter joke tbh.
Deliias bank account is looking nice , but sadly not many points in the bag .

I've not seen the usual, it looks like a quiet deadline day for town yet.

Is today the international deadline day... and in a week or two it’s the domestic deadline?Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 11:20 amI've not seen the usual, it looks like a quiet deadline day for town yet.

Yes I see you are right so someone could still take one of our better players until the 16th.tangfastic wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 11:23 amIs today the international deadline day... and in a week or two it’s the domestic deadline?Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 11:20 amI've not seen the usual, it looks like a quiet deadline day for town yet.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Rumour that Dobra is going to Crawley on loan, good move for him if he's not going to get game time here.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Ben Folami could be set for a loan move to Australia, if so I think that will be the last we see of him as his contract is up at the end of the season.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Yep would be a good move for him, its a ahame that just when he was looking like breaking through here he got that serious injury which put him out for almost a season. I think we may have an option of an additional year on his contract but even so it looks like he may be saying his farewells.

He’s 21 and even though Lambert thinks he’s a kid, I think he should - at his age - be playing regular men’s football. He’s well down the pecking order, even with all our injuries. I don’t think he’ll make it with us, so good luck to him if he gets the move.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Looks like Dobra wants to stay here and fight for a place.

Lambert picks the side and, at the moment, it’s a winning side - so it won’t be easy to get in the team. I just hope Lambert doesn’t hold it against the lad. I can see him being a handy player to come off the bench if we’re chasing a game. Just feel there’s a pecking order and Dobra’s way down the list.

I don't think for one second Lambert would hold it against him, he didn't with Downes.

Re: Transfer Rumours
I’m calling bullshit on Lambert. Dobra’s better than Judge and Huws, but I’m sure Evans wants the higher earners on the pitch. If Lambert plays Dobra before those two for performance alone, I bet he gets a frown from Marcus. Am I wrong, or would Dobra be a more dynamic addition to our midfield?tangfastic wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 11:37 amLooks like Dobra wants to stay here and fight for a place.

Hmmmm.... not sure Evans would have a say on that. He’ll have to pay their wages whether they play or not.number 9 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 2:04 pmI’m calling bullshit on Lambert. Jack Marriott off to Sheffield Wednesday...interesting as Connor Wickham played there on loan.

ManCity's Matt Smith goes on loan to Doncaster Rovers. The midfielder was linked to Ipswich Town in January.

Re: Transfer Rumours
I think its spot on what Lambert is doing with Dobra, he isn't ready to start, he needs to work his way into the team on merit not reputation, lets not forget we are top of the league with those who are playing.

Re: Transfer Rumours
We were top of the league last season and look what happened. The main thing is Dobra's sticking around, so if nothing else it will give Lambo another option.

Re: Transfer Rumours
A player who McCarthy sent out on loan and he immediately started banging in the goals.
First spell was 8 goals in 7 games for Woking.
Didn’t realise he was at Posh. 27 goals in 44 games two years ago?
Shame he didn’t work out at PR.

I can't remember how much of chance Marriott was given in the first team, but for some reason he didn't perform well for us.

Mick said he was too fat. Got released. Went to Luton... did well there and got his move to Posh. TBF... Mick gave him a kick up the arse to get his career moving.... but it didn’t do us any good.number 9 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 5:44 pmI can't remember how much of chance Marriott was given in the first team, but for some reason he didn't perform well for us.

Re: Transfer Rumours
If Folami can’t even get into the Matchday squad when all our strikers are injured, then I don’t think he’ll ever make it here. I can understand why Lambert plumped for Simpson (due to his size), but just illustrates that he’s sliding even further down the pecking order.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 11:57 amBen Folami could be set for a loan move to Australia, if so I think that will be the last we see of him as his contract is up at the end of the season.
The way we play and the emphasis on a big, lone frontman must give someone like Simpson an opportunity.

Re: Transfer Rumours
We should never have let Jack Marriott leave Town without an extended run in the first team, for me he was a lost talent. Strange Derby letting him go out on loan given he played for them six times this season before being released loaned to the Owls for whom he made his debut on Saturday in their 0-1 win at Brum. He could have been a great asset to us especially in our relegation season when we were short on goals and with a few more could possibly have avoided the drop.

Never really excelled IMO only when at Peterborough when that team were scoring for fun 27goals/44 matches .Charnwood wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 11:50 pmWe should never have let Jack Marriott leave Town without an extended run in the first team, for me he was a lost talent. Re: Transfer Rumours
News Now says we're interested in a Temi Babalola, forward with Concord, nineteen years old.
Shade under 6 5' and would be useful at set-pieces. Talks himself up but (has) scored three goals in 13 games. Wants to play at a higher level and believes he's got the potential to make it on a bigger scene. "I am always in the right place at the right time" (You ain't no Jimmy Greaves) the player mentions and that "he gets goals"
We are supposed to be allowing him a trial if it goes ahead. Not too thrilled about this one.
