Well we don’t like it when teams apply pressure high up the pitch do we ! Struggling in defence and midfield , and missing Hawkins I think .

Someone say Lambert is deploying only one in attack. Don't understand the thinking behind it, it's a home game against beatable opposition, at least try and go out for the victory.
Some 40 minutes in and no score. Stats say we got the possession percentage but they're well ahead in terms of chances crated. They look more likely to score than we do. Just see this out to the interval but guessing something needs amending at the break if we're to really take three points from this.

Sears probably took a touch too many did the first chance. Keeper closed him down for the second.
Can't see us scoring, it's another game where the opposition come at us and we struggle with the lack of space.

Re: Ipswich Town vs Accrington Stanley Preview & Matchday Thread
Well what a result to go in level cus that is by far the worst we've played all season, no shape, no cohesion, our passing is poor, nobody wants to commit to a positive pass, its been terrible and yet we had the Two best chances and should have scored , if only we had a striker on the pitch.
Bishop not on it today, I would get Nolan on, we won't score with this attacking line up for sure so need to se if we can get the 0-0 draw, I'd take that right now. For me Chambers been our best player.
Regarding Accrington, they can play and look half decent, definitely the best side we have played this season, if we win this it will be some achievement but maybe we can switch things around, maybe we can give Tyreece Simpson a run out, we need a presence up front.

That was woeful. We are being out played and out muscled. The 2 chances we have had unfortunately fell to Sears. The height difference is a telling factor. We need more of a presence up front to hold the ball up. Maybe young Simpson needs to come on.

Take 0-0 at HT.
We’re outmuscled, but someone like Bishop has got to run at them. Draw tackles.. run into space.... we’re not going to get through them with long balls. .....they’re not good There was a period where we were getting free-kicks in good positions. That’s a way to get a goal. Keep it tight at the back and we could scrape a goal.
Maybe Nolan could add something in midfield.

Half-time confirmed and took a look in on TWTD for response. Handful of starters claiming we're poor and ineffective there must be reason behind it.
We got players out on the inactive roster and it's easy to lose focus at the top or become complacent but unless someone gets their sh*t together in the second period I'm sensing a loss here. More attack minded and emphasize to players this is a good opportunity for three points. Don't see the need to stick around for the next 45, got a feeling there's going to be something of a missed opportunity out there today. Hope to be reading up on a victory when time permits itself but seems an improvement is going to be necessary.

So much better second half, Judge and Huws have both played better today IMO.

Re: Ipswich Town vs Accrington Stanley Preview & Matchday Thread
Brilliant. Found a way to win with f*ck all strikers available.
Back four were really good. Toto’s getting a lot of mentions as redemption man, but Wilson has been equally good. Give a mention to Kenlock... did his job very well and some need to get off his back.
Not a great performance, but it just seems weve got that extra bit of class at times. Little bit lightweight in midfield.. but if we can overcome that, then weVe got something going extra forward. Enjoyed that win..... far from perfect, but we showed character and quite a bit of class at times.

Surprising win after the first half. It's lovely to see us improve after the break for a change. Well done Lambo for firing them up. Edwards is quickly turning in to my favourite player!

Great win against a useful team. Who is this man Chambers?? Class act. Super 2nd half . By far the best team. Why wait for 2nd half to switch the front two into their favoured positions . COYB
