I'd love to see you jumping on tables and singing Hot for Teacher, Marko! That could rival the Cowbell video!marko69 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 10:12 amThink I could do any Van Halen song on karaoke without the need for words on the TV. Won’t sound great, but the words would be correct.
Had the Van Halen back catalogue on repeat since EVH passed.
RIP EVH.... legend, genius....., and other words that don’t describe you well enough

I always liked the Once Bitten Twice Shy song, but never got into Great White for some reason. Now, their name is marred by the ridiculous decisions they made in the bar.

Re: What are you listening to?
I love Van Halen, but when they introduced the keyboards the sound went downhill IMHO. Van Hagar is horrible. My favorite album is VH II.number 9 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 4:46 pmI'd love to see you jumping on tables and singing Hot for Teacher, Marko! Ultravox, Vienna. Possibly the greatest track ever not to reach #1. 1981 was a great year for music and not just bias because we did so well on the field out there and collected other awards.

Re: What are you listening to?
My youngest asked if she could go to a concert with some friends. We were like, sure. I then asked who was touring, and she said it was Green Day and Weezer. I was like, "Well sh^t, I wanna go!" She was like, um...no.
I told my oldest and she said, "I'll go with you, Dad." So this Tuesday, I am going with her to the concert. Who would have guessed when I bought Dookie in 1994 I would be going to their concert with my 20 year old in 2021?! Of course, we weren't allowed to sit in the youngest's section, so we are directly across from her in the stadium
Needless to say, this past week and this weekend is nothing but Weezer and Green Day.

Re: What are you listening to?
Gotta tell ya,
- Weezer were solid. Played their hits, not a whole lot of working the crowd, but were still damn good
- Fall Out Boy I didn't know a whole lot about coming in, but is one of those bands you are like OH YEAH, they sing that. They were really good!
- Green Day came out and Billy Joe Armstrong worked the crowd from the beginning. No joke, the best concert I have ever seen. They are heading to the UK next June, highly recommend you go if you like these bands.

News item yesterday says Scotland is seeing a substantial rise in pandemic cases ?
Listening right now to Vivaldi's Sopranino Concerto in C. Maybe a little pretentious to some tastes but that's what's on. Classical is mighty fine every now and again.

Yep, and unfortunately the really careful people are having to mingle with the couldn't care less people. Its a problem.saint jude wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 4:02 pmNews item yesterday says Scotland is seeing a substantial rise in pandemic cases?
I certainly couldn’t have been more careful other than not venturing out at all.
Rossini - La Gazza Ladre, The Thieving Magpie. My all time favourite.saint jude wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 4:02 pmListening right now to Vivaldi's Sopranino Concerto in C. Maybe a little pretentious to some tastes but that's what's on. Classical is mighty fine every now and again.

Re: What are you listening to?
New Maiden album out today. Always a big day. No distractions. Headphones on, volume up.
These always take a few “listens”. On the third listen now. Starting to dig it a lot. Unfortunately for Saint, my fave so far is “Death of the Celts”…… classic 80s sounding Iron Maiden.
You heard this new offering yet, Ohio?

Sounds of the 70's although helps if you're of an age to recall it.
Dat by Pluto Shervington. Not a reggae track that's one of the best but a genre of music that is far improvement on many others you could include.
