It seems from the video that Thomas playes mostly on the right but is left footed, he looks useful in the video.

Fantastic. So he'll have to take a few steps inside before taking a shot...., or hit row Z?Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 9:54 pmIt seems from the video that Thomas plays mostly on the right but is left footed, he looks useful in the video.
Get him the fk out before he starts. And he can take his Tuna with him. Stinking b*stard.

Two very interesting signings IMO. We have been crying out for more creativity and here's more creativity. Let's hope they slot in nicely and make an impact on debut.
Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
Trouble is PL will put them both on the bench. To play them both he would have to drop Judge and Edwards out the front three or leave two of Bishop, Dozzell or Downes out of a middle three. So i hope they have both brought there bench warmers with them.Dubai Blue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:01 pmTwo very interesting signings IMO. Both new signings could fill in for the two aforementioned players, be it starting or as subs, therefore allowing a less full on schedule and more of a gradual build up.Dubai Blue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:01 pm

Ref: Harrup.
Nice to see someone who is quite capable in a dead-ball situation! I guess this must signify the pending departure of Freddie! Afterall we have no real use for our former free-kick specialist now

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
I like our signings tbh. But I do wonder what they will make of our so very pedestrian approach in a game. They’ll be shivering on the half way line waiting for the ball to come to them won’t they lol !Dubai Blue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:01 pmTwo very interesting signings IMO. We need to up the pace considerably IMO. And that’s the biggest fear I have of Posh on Saturday, they’re very quick!

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
With Dozzell's propensity to receive yellow cards, maybe he'll be the fall guy for one of the newbees. I can also see Thomas and Harrop coming on as second half subs to boost the attack...hopefully replacing Judge and his tired legs. Maybe we'll bring in another defender as well to limit Woolfenden's minutes.Tinytown wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:22 pmTrouble is PL will put them both on the bench. I think there’s every chance the6 start from the bench TT...all though both players at fit , neither has played much football recently ....wouldn’t want an injury now would we !!Tinytown wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:22 pmTrouble is PL will put them both on the bench. Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
If he drops Edwards for either of the pair of them, there's yet another "Lambert out" cherry to put on the cake.

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
Think they’re pretty decent signings. Definitely need a wide man with pace - so Thomas fits. Harrop seems like he’s a number 10 and so i hope we play him there. I would have thought Bishop or Judge would make way. But maybe Dozzell makes way and Bishop plays a bit deeper. I think Dozzell has made progress this season after finally given games, but I don’t think he’s been a sensation like some make out.
I don’t think these are ‘scrape the bottom of the barrel type’ signings. Really hope they make a difference.
If we could get some senior players out the door to make space, I wouldn’t mind seeing a full back coming in.

lol . yes well the less said on that subject now the better I guess
Looks like Donacian could be on his way out as several clubs now after his services.
Would Lambert be stupid to let him leave the club with KVY out and our only fit ( but non bespoke ) right back, being Chambers ? I think wed be tempting fate tbh ...

If Chambers did get injured he might be forced to go 3 5 2 or 5 3 2 and we would get 2 up front.......AT LAST!!!hallamblue wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 12:34 pmlol . yes well the less said on that subject now the better I guess

agree that Harrop seems like a genuine no.10, and hope he goes straight into the team.tangfastic wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 10:14 amThink they’re pretty decent signings. Maybe, just maybe, PL wants a no.10 in the team and to date has seen Judge as the only viable selection. Now there is a half decent player to fill that role, I can see Judge warming the bench

Judge is one of the highest earners in the squad, Lambert won't bench him. However, the new additions (most likely Harrop) will certainly be available to come on as subs to replace Judge probably in the second half.rossi wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 1:33 pmagree that Harrop seems like a genuine no.10, and hope he goes straight into the team.tangfastic wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 10:14 amThink they’re pretty decent signings. Does it work that way? That the highest earners get a place in the team? I would expect Lambert would to look after himself first and pick a team he thinks will win. Mind you, wouldn’t be surprised to see Judge start.number 9 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 7:10 pmJudge is one of the highest earners in the squad, Lambert won't bench him. Just googled this ... and I’m not really believing these figures. But I have read before Huws is also a top earner and he hardly makes the team.

Bloody hell, Bennetts at 18-thousand quid a week! Good point on Huws, but he's not really Lambert's acquisition. I also get the impression that Lambert and Judge are buddies.tangfastic wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 7:22 pmDoes it work that way? That the highest earners get a place in the team? I guess Bennetts is on a big German premier league wage ... and we pay a very small proportion of that.
Mind you... on that wage he should have done better when we got beat by Crawley reserves.

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
We signed Huws on a lengthy 4yr contract by McCarthy I believe and he was definitely on top dollar , which is why I was so opposed to him remaking at the club when he has been essentially constantly injured. I think he averages just 10 appearances per season eg 44 appearances in his 4 years here.
He had an injury history before he joined us. Damaging his knee as far back as 2014, I believe when he was at Wigan. From that point on he shifted from club to club ...and then we came along and offer him a four year deal!! I bet Cardiff couldn’t believe their luck in offloading him. But this is now McCarthy operated , offering big bucks to journeymen who often arrived either on a “freebie” , ( they’d be anything but that to this club in the end ), or for a nominal fee. He’s been a shocking waste of money, as has Judge ( another player on top wages). We don’t appear to get value for money from our transfers do we .

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
When we were relegated the players alledgedally had there wages reduced by up to 50%. So they had been stealing a good living playing in the championship and under performing.tangfastic wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 7:22 pmDoes it work that way? Some were pleased when we bought Huws, but an awful lot of us also expressed concern about his dreadful injury record & highlighted what a rist it was. Sadly for us it hasn't worked out and I would be glad to see him offloaded as soon as possible.number 9 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 4:52 pmFunny thing is Hallam, a lot of us were very pleased when MM signed Huws. Agreed. I never saw any great promise in Huws. Judge should have been different. But of course we had inflicted a horrific injury on him a few years earlier.barmy billy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 4:56 pmSome were pleased when we bought Huws, but an awful lot of us also expressed concern about his dreadful injury record & highlighted what a rist it was.
