Re: Peterborough United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
We haven’t looked like scoring since the first 5 minutes. Or passing has been atrocious too.
The difference between tonight and Saturday isn’t to do with formations or team selections. Is that We can beat a poor dude but can’t beat a decent side. We are a mid table team at best.
Here’s a throwaway wind-up comment: how many on here said we had the best squad in the league but are now saying we should be playing the loan players because they are better than our wonderful squad? Not sure how that works.

This is without a doubt the worst I have seen us play all season and possibly includes the last 20 seasons

A bog of a pitch, draining on legs fot the fittest & Lambert brings in two mid 30's full-backs. It just defies logic.
The man is a complete waste of space.

Another lacklustre performance when it really matters . The managers and players just don’t have it in them do they !

Look on the bright side. We can never ever play as badly as that again. I hope

Total sh*te. Now wait for that tw*t lambert to come out and say how well we played and then send out a player to say how much 'the lads' are hurting in the changing room and can't wait to turn it around. Just go now lambert. I don't care who comes in until the end of the season - it could be my labrador as long as they have a good supply of biscuits, they cannot do worse that this clown

Re: Peterborough United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
I think we always expect more from our players, it’sa natural thing. They are often played out of position which doesn’t help.
I quite liked the look of the team tonight (except I wouldn’t have played Ward), but it soon became clear that we had no natural wide players in the team. That was what cost us in the first half.
And that is one of the problems. One up front doesn’t work but 2 up front means we get overrun down the wings. Playing it out from the back doesn’t work but tonight’s hoofball was even more ineffective and awful to watch.
Our players aren’t good enough but the loans add little.
What I’m trying to say is it’s easy to criticise and point the finger at what’s wrong. But changing the team, the formation, the tactics just replaces one set of problems with another.
The answer? I haven’t a f**king clue. Just remember it’s easy to find the faults. Bloody hard to put them right.

On Saturday I said that the manner of the win was really encouraging for the rest of the season. How f*cking stupid was that statement? That was depressing.

But he has had 2 years to get this right (and 4 transfer windows) Andy - when do you say enough is enough and he just cannot cut it? 2 seasons in div 3 and not a win or even close against a top team - it is inexcusably awful and I cannot see how anyone can even get close to justifying it! It is failure, pure and simple!Andym wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 10:03 pmI think we always expect more from our players, it’sa natural thing. They are often played out of position which doesn’t help.

Given up trying to get audio on what's going on there. f*ck it some things can't be done. Has the team lost ? Seriously didn't think the game was over yet. Don't know to what extent the team played poor / bad whatever. Was it really as sh*t as some responses suggest. Seems we've fallen away today after the encouraging win last time out.
Going to have to gain some reports from somewhere to ascertain what occurred out there. If really as bad as some make out then the manager can f*ck off here and now. One good win in how many weeks and then revert to type. Require to view a damage report from today.

Sorry but when that team was announced I new we were in trouble. No pace no width no fluency if he started with side that finished against Blackpool you had some continuity. Why play two 35 year olds against power and pace? Why continuously pick Dozzell when he such a lightweight. PL you are a f**king idiot a crap manager and you need to f*ck off now.

Intelligent summation Andy. Still think we could have put out a better team tonight but only marginally. I think that we have to accept that we are where we are because that is where we deserve to be. Expect league one for a number of years depressing though it is.

To make me feel worse, a mate who supports Cardiff has been giving me loads about how McCarthy has turned Cardiff's season completely around. Tw*t

Due to having one of the biggest squads. Too much money on mediocre players, not enough on quality.

True. But he is still footing the bill. I don’t think it’s fair to say he is our salary cap.ipswichtownNo1 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 10:14 pmDue to having one of the biggest squads. Too much money on mediocre players, not enough on quality.

Before the game I’d said I’d like / expected to see Chambers back in the team for their experience. But having watched that tonight , I’m now in complete agreement with mss as my others Chambers/ Ward are sadly past it now .Tinytown wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 10:10 pmSorry but when that team was announced I new we were in trouble.
