Re: Ipswich Town vs Lincoln City Preview & Matchday Thread
oh well - deservedly behind at half time - Lankester, Downes, and Edwards all extremely poor for me.
Maybe I should take up a different sport - PC states we don't score enough goals and that has to change, yet we play one up front - I must be as thick as sh*t because I just don't see the reasoning behind it, not with the players we have anyway

The lad taken his goal well, really , really great strike but i never like seeing a keeper just stand there. Holy did same for one of the goals last Saturday.
Maybe would still be beaten, no problem with that but come on make an effort. Just standing watching looks embarrassing

I was thinking same thing about Holy .... he doesn’t read the game very well at times. He should be on his toes looking for a shot or cross to come in . He stood flat footed , weight back on his heels with a very wide base of support ( legs too far apart), he can never react from that position .Steve and Jo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:57 pmThe lad taken his goal well, really , really great strike but i never like seeing a keeper just stand there. Think he was caught ball Watching rossi? If so then that's a nasty habit to have. Like i say he did same against Gillinghamrossi wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:59 pmagreed - and he has far less distance to dive than a lot of keepersSteve and Jo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:57 pmThe lad taken his goal well, really , really great strike but i never like seeing a keeper just stand there. Listening to MM would think the sun shines out of Edwards backside. Yes he run but at the moment no end product and please for goodness sake lets have two up front

I think we could play 6 up front and it would be no different. We need to create a chance first. Apparently we have had 2 shots but I can't recall them.rossi wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:52 pmoh well - deservedly behind at half time - Lankester, Downes, and Edwards all extremely poor for me.

We could try Jackson alongside Norwood and revert to 4-4-2 . I guess we would take off one of the three in midfield and pull Lankester and Edwards back to give a wide midfield 4. Don't think it would make much difference though,.

They play better football than us. Much more dangerous on the wings. Class above I'm afraid. Likely outcome another loss but we can but hope. Not sure moving Downes up and Bishop back the best idea but what do I know.

Edwards has been sussed and he knows it . Not expecting much from him second half ..... Bishop was doing good runs when played up front .... why the he’ll Downes is there I’ll never know . As for Dozzell .... same old same old for me I’m afraid

Re: Ipswich Town vs Lincoln City Preview & Matchday Thread
Sounds like a disappointing first half, given Lincoln’s results so far this season a draw wouldn’t be a bad outcome but this will need our midfield getting more involved.

Re: Ipswich Town vs Lincoln City Preview & Matchday Thread
Norwood looking increasingly isolated to me now .
I’d get Dozzell off and replace with zJudge ... he can find Norwood with a pass
