Chambo Top 10
Luke Chambers reaches top 10 of all time appearances.
What an achievement by the Club captain 387 appearances .
Congratulation CHAMBO...soon be 9th Jason Dozzell at 393

If he managed to play all remaining games he’d be on 401 games..... brilliant Chambo .... and who’s to say he won’t play again in some games next season . Quote an achievement in the modern game ( pace of) I think .

At a club where we have a very questionable fitness history, it’s pretty amazing that he’s always available.
He’s definitely doing something right in looking after himself. He can be marmite with many, but no one can argue thats he’s not a fantastic pro.

He isn't the greatest player, he probably knows that himself but he is 100% in everything he does and is such an ambassador for the Club. As has been mentioned his fitness record is remarkable, playing with broken ribs springs to mind when he could barely breath. I think he deserves more recognition and respect than he gets. Well done Captain Fantastic.

Credit to him, Still looks young and eager
Other thing is, you never see him in trouble outside of football or in it

Great achievement and as Mike says, should be more appreciated. He's stuck with the club even though it has been poorly run the whole period he's been here, without him the situation would likely have been far worse.
Not his fault that in his time the club has been transformed from a top championship side to a wobbling league 1 club. Had the reverse happened he'd be thanked as much as he should be now.
Good point with the injuries, Chambers is thick legged and strongly built, those types can play forever and a day with seemingly few injuries. Skinny young boys may be faster and more skilled, but they break, you can have a few such players for the x factor they can bring, but have a squad full and you get ever changing starting lineups and a lot of wages being paid out to players sat with their feet up in casts.

I think he deserves a testimonial tbh. Great servant to this Club in an ear when loyalty appears to be a dirty word in the game.

A great achievement. And I suspect the vast majority of us have been very pleasantly surprised by how well he has performed at right back this season.

Re: Chambo Top 10
Don't get to see him in action all too often so hard to make proper judgment although seems has a number of positive reviews and held in high regard by a majority of the fanbase. When you can stand on a plateau for club appearances with names such as Crawford, Mills, Wark, Burley and Osman et cetera it's got to be a level of privilege. Shame for the most part wasn't able to gain something by way of club achievement for service here on the field as with the aforementioned names listed.

It will be a Pity if he doesn't get a trophy before hanging up his boots he deserves one not just for the amount of games he's played but for the fact he's a top bloke.
