The trouble is some players will wait for a championship club that will pay them more money we don't need them we want hungry players that want success, who would want to go to say Derby with all the trouble that have when you can go to Ipswich which is on the up and will hopefully be in a higher league after next season.

Re: Paul Cooks 1st Transfer Window rumour thread.
I’m not really sure of the significance of the transfer window when we signed two players before the window officially opened. How does that work?
Guess we’ve got to be patient. I’m guessing players and their agents are looking for the best deal, but they’ll also won’t want to wait too long to get fixed up at a club. Have to admit I thought we’d have a couple more through the door by now. Bit too early to panic, though.

Still, no worries eh, only a dozen + players still get over the line before then.

Of course we are, Liz - I thought this would be the case all along. It doesn't matter what size transfer budget we have, decent players are going to choose to go to the Championship above us every time given the choice.hallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 6:25 pmWe aren’t signing anyone are we now

Dozzell is a player with skill and the potential to shine at a higher level, but not a Cook battler who’s going to part of the plan to get us out of this division. Time for him to go - best of luck to him (until we meet in the championship next year)

Smallwood (Hull captain), Pearce (Wigan left back) and Callum Connolly all likely to sign in the next week or so.

Three championship clubs were after Burns but he chose us Gary, or do you not think he's decent ?rossi wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 2:25 pmOf course we are, Liz - I thought this would be the case all along. Fine if that happens and he moves 9n again. We’ve got a reported “ significant” sell on %…….Bluemike wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 6:12 pmLol, maybe, I think we may see a real player now and regret it tbh
Sometimes players just need to move to get that kick up the arse don’t they. He’s done absolutely nothing here has here.

We ain't doing to bad atm, Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday have shipped out loads too and are in a similar rebuilding situation to us.

Think Charlton signed Stockley yesterday. He was on loan to them last season from Preston. Looked like he was going to Portsmouth but Charlton came in and got him at the last moment.Bluemike wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 6:31 pmJust reading an article on the promotion hopefuls deals so far....

Re: Paul Cooks 1st Transfer Window rumour thread.
I’m in agreement. If he’s a success elsewhere, then good luck to him, but I can’t see how he’d fit in a L1 Cook side. We need energetic, physical players in our team. I can’t remember one game where he pulled the strings and took control of the midfield.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 6:17 pmFine if that happens and he moves 9n again. I’d like to see him do well elsewhere. He said it himself that he needs to get out of his comfort zone here. Bang on. Think this move suits all parties.

Someone on Twtd who has a friend who works at the club ( yer, yer, I know )…says the Club will announce two new signings Tomorrow , and that then players have been at the club today having their medical.Bluemike wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 6:31 pmJust reading an article on the promotion hopefuls deals so far....
