Fixtures released Thursday 24th June
I believe I read this is the release date, always viewed with great interest. Seeing today that Norwich begin their campaign at home to Liverpool August 14, we should therefore deffo be at home on opening day 7th August.
Any preferences who people would prefer ? Personally I would like a winnable game to get us off to a good start, we are unbeaten at home under Paul Cook believe or not so it will be good to keep it going. I'll take a wild guess and say its gonna be Doncaster or Oxford at home.

Would like to be against a club that is rebuilding before they get settled in, maybe Portsmouth?
Of course there will be those saying the same about us

For me, would like to play a team in similar transition period having made multiple player changes. However i am going for Gillingham at home as my guess.

Re: Fixtures released Thursday 24th June
All teams are there to be beaten. Even if we were to face off with an (on paper) easy fixture at home against some much smaller opposition it would be so easy to mess up and lose out on points. Sometimes you have to meet challenges head on and go out and do what you have to do, this league is really no different.
Point being we're going to play them all at one time or another so just maybe take each challenge as it comes. Haven't seen the betting odds as to how neutrals view our promotion chances but if they label us as favorites or even to make instant promotion it would be totally unjust. We messed up this year getting out the league. I blame the players lethargic and apathetic nature for nearly the entire season for not meeting intended expectation or targets. Hopefully next time around new players in will show enough desire and ambition to eradicate that issue. I'd be real disappointed not to make the top six at least such with the new ownership and Lambert exit.
It'll be tough for sure but doable by all means, we got ourselves a better chance than before that much is evident.

I would hope, Mike, that the club see all games next season as being winnableBluemike wrote: โWed Jun 16, 2021 10:20 amI believe I read this is the release date, always viewed with great interest. Doesnt bother me what order we play opponents in - we have 46 games and need to win at least 30 of them.

Very true, I could have worded that better, what I mean is a,Sunderland or Sheffield Wednesday at home may be tricky to get a morale boosting winrossi wrote: โWed Jun 16, 2021 2:50 pmI would hope, Mike, that the club see all games next season as being winnableBluemike wrote: โWed Jun 16, 2021 10:20 amI believe I read this is the release date, always viewed with great interest. I don't agree that it looks easy they have been promoted and will be more than up for it, plus how will our team look and will they have had enough time to be playing as Cook wants them to.

Yes I did, and yes we did, not sure no squad will work though but FWIW I think we'll have a good squad come August and those opening fixtures look appealing, especially if we are to have any aspirations for the season ahead.

Re: Fixtures released Thursday 24th June
well Mike, you said you wanted a winnable opening fixture at home, and that's exactly what we have got - all we need now is a squad of at least 11 fit players that PC hasn't pissed off

Actually I was just reading the fixture list on TWTD and noticed we appear to be playing someone in the Emirates FA Cup Final on the 14th May next year!

Re: Fixtures released Thursday 24th June
Yep, we've got the decent start, on paper at least, as you say we need the players now and I'm confident we will get just that, I doubt very much any of those senior players who are in the U23 squad will get much of a chance tbh, Dobra and Kenlock at a push, the others will be gone.

Didnโt we last play Morecambe in the FA cup when we had a decent side
George Burley as manager and Marcus Stewart up front
