Now then despite being asked not to travel thousands of Jocks have descended on London!
They were told no fan zones were going to be in place,Wembley obviously has a reduced attendance, they won’t be able to get into many pubs to watch the game. So really what was the point?

They travel to the farthest ends of the earth to watch their nation play. Not going to take much persausion to cross one country line into another particularly when you've waited 22 years to be part again of a major "football" competition. Being told not to do something but going ahead anyway and 'f*ck the rules' is par for the course for many. Thing with rules is, they're just there to be broken.

Scots usually do well at Wembley Stadium or get an encouraging score / victory. Would hope for more of the same tomorrow or whenever the damn event is. They got to win to stand any chance of remaining in the tournament. I do hope they can get it once again, can't be impartial on this one.

Not really the point, there will be very few places where they can watch the game and that’s when the bother will start!

Football and its fans seem to be a law unto themselves throughout this pandemic, what is the bloody point in travelling with little or no hope of actually watching the damn game ?

Looking forward to watching Mings again tonight. Don't reckon Southgate will risk Maguire yet.
I agree, having Maguire as ready to go as possible could be vital for any later stages of the competition we might be involved in

The question is would you make any changes to the starting line up? For me personally i think the starting 11 places are the previous 11's to lose, so no changes for me if all are fit.. Kane had a quiet game, but is always good for a goal. Would like to see Grealish at some stage though.

How about you Marko? How would you like to see Scotland approach this, team selection-wise?

Don't let the BBC bluff you.
BBC Quote today:
"Scotland were only allocated about 2,600 tickets due to Covid restrictions, and no fan zone has been set up."

Utter bullshit. There are PLENTY pubs in London that have organised fan zones with official Tartan Army clubs. This is going to be the government pointing blame when numbers start rising again. They can go fk themselves. I know a few guys in London and I have seen their pub barcodes on their phones. Booked for weeks. There will be numptys travelling WITH NO PLANS, but all countries will have those types.

But f**king guaranteed....., the Gov will make it about Covid.

It is just before Scotland v England in the Euro’s Group game.
Kane goes into the English changing room to find all his team mates looking a bit glum.
"What's up?" he asks.
"Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it's important but it's only Scotland. They're sh*te and we can't be bothered".

Kane looks at them and says "Well, I reckon I can beat these by myself, you lads go down the pub."

So Kane goes out to play Scotland by himself and the rest of the English team go off for a few pints. After a few jars they wonder how the game is going, so they get the landlord to put the teletext on. A big cheer goes up as the screen reads "England 1 - Scotland 0 (Kane 10minutes)". He is beating Scotland all by himself!
Anyway, a few more pints later and the game is forgotten until someone remembers "It must be full time now, let's see how he got on". They put the teletext on.

"Result from the Stadium "England 1 (Kane 10 minutes) - Scotland 1"(Angus McShagnasty 89 minutes)".

They can't believe it, he has single handedly got a draw against Scotland!!
They rush back to the Stadium to congratulate him. They find him in the dressing room, still in his gear, sat with his head in his hands. He refuses to look at them.

"I've let you down, I've let you down."

"Don't be daft, you got a draw against Scotland , all by yourself. And they only scored at the very very end"

"No, No, I have, I've let you down...
I got sent off after 12 minutes"

Halftime:
England too slow, and negative. Grealish needs to come on and create attacks. Shaw has been the most attacking player, a defender! Foden is trying too hard, needs to settle down.

I’m really surprised this thread has been so quiet during the match. I mean it’s Friday night and England are playing Scotland at Wembley in the Euros. Yes I’m not thrilled with the performance, but what has happened to our national pride? Well done to the Scots for a solid performance. Scottish fans deserve a celebration! I’d take that attitude over the apparent apathy that exists in English fans.

I am sorry to say national pride has steadily been beaten out of the English in general!

Firstly credit to Scotland. They had a game plan and stuck rigidly to it. A deserved point for them.
As for England; tepid, pedestrian, clueless......and i thought watching Ipswich was frustrating!!!

You need explosive players to win big games. England have been conservative for so many years…afraid to lose. The last time I remember an explosive play is when Michael Owen broke away on a counter attack and scored against Brazil. Then Seaman botched a ridiculous long range free kick from Ronaldinho and it was back to conservatism. Southgate won’t win any major tournaments. We need a manager who embraces explosive players.

You have to play form players and Kane should be nowhere near that team at present, total waste of time, it says it all when Stones and Mines were our Two best players, well done to Scotland, Croatia are far from pushovers but I really hope the Scots get through.

I really don’t get this! Do you think that Scotland,ROI,Wales give a stuff about England qualifying for anything? If we don’t get through any group they are laughing their socks off,yet we are supposed to support them, Why?
Nothing against them personally but when it comes to sport stuff them.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said. My bowel had more movement than the England team last night!
So negative it’s unreal. No doubt the only thing coming home will be me in another bad mood from Wembley on Tuesday night.

Scotland’s traditional trait is the heads going down when scored against early and if Stones scores, things would’ve been different for Southgate today. Have to say though; we celebrated Phil Foden going off. Jaysus F Christ Southgate, you should be sacked for that alone.

But “the post” inspired us, shoved our arses into gear and the performance was clearly upped a few notches. Robertson & Gilmour were outstanding. And Pickfords save was a lot better than he’s being given credit for. That entire move was sublime from Scotland and the finish would’ve been sweet but for Pickford.

Fairly certain you guys will do the business v CR, and we’ll hopefully not do our usual and bottle it at the crucial stage.

And with you 100% Bluejacko ——>> I too couldn’t give a rats arse about Wales, ROI, NI or England. As you say, stuff them all.

Was right behind the goal and as you say the save by Pickford was very good.
