2 goals conceded again we could set a new record this season.

Actually quite concerned for the season
Can paint over and say its only the trophy which it is, but so far this season we have let in two goals at least per game I believe

I didn't see the game but could one argue we had alot more of the ball, created more chances but were let down by a GK error for a penalty and perhaps a weak defense? (semi understandable given it was Wolfie + a kid)? Clutching at straws..........

It's the defence that's concerning though

Oh Cookās not worried. Heāll have no criticism for the players. Heāll say he feels sorry for the fans blah, blah, blah!barmy billy wrote: āTue Sep 14, 2021 10:02 pmVery hard to take. I wonder what Cook will say this time.

I hold my hands up and admit I was quite happy when PC was appointed.
However, his record since being in charge has quite frankly been appalling and I hope that the owners realise the seriousness of the current situation. It certainly canāt be allowed to continue much longer otherwise we could very well be getting out of this league this season but not the way we planned.

I am trying to be upbeat but it is now dwindling, we have to get a decent result soon and hoping it is against Lincoln.
I like PC and want him to succeed but if im honest, if there is not a improvement soon he is in a spot of bother.
COYB!

The countdown begins PC your on a 10 game judgement programme, the clock is ticking the fans are getting restless you've got 10 league games to improve the results, and losing to a junior West Ham side tonight aint helping, you mentioned about going home in your report on the Bolton game due to the fans calling for earlier substitutions, your not helping your cause at all, your going backwards in your so called strong squad selection tonight, what you need is a very good assistant to help you make correct decisions, someone like John McGreal, you've proved you haven't the ability to work on your own, so get John in to assist you sooner rather than later.

These results are (or are already) becoming indefensible.
Cook should have put out his best team. Getting a result against anyone at the moment is the most important thing. Itās stacking up. It doesnāt matter if a senior player gets an injury in a game like this because they can just as easily pick up an injury in training.
Morsy looked good and what we need, but heāll pick up bookings throughout the season and get banned. Disappointed in Carroll - thought he gave the ball away too much. Norwoodās got a chance in the starting line up as heās always hassling defences and looked sharp. We need that bit of niggle in the team along with Morsy. He might be worth a shot in defence as he was our best defender from set-pieces.
As for Holy. I donāt understand why Hladky or Walton wasnāt given a chance. How many more times can Holy be allowed to invent more f*ck-upās?

Ash??? 10 game programme? Ten games from now? Starting at Lincoln? That doesnt make ONE OUNCE of any sense? So if the next three are defeats, (certainly not confident about Lincoln) and the club are 24th, then someone in the club will say,
āNO, not yetā¦ā¦. Still 7 to go!ā
It could be a heavy 4-0 @ Sincil, i reckon next Monday could be significant if that happens.

Does he know his best team?
Does anybody? His coaching staff isn't exactly full of experience. At the moment far as I see he's juggling his players around searching for something to click.
Like most I really want PC to succeed, he does seem the most honest and enthusiastic manager we had for some time, but until whoever plays cut out the stupid mistakes then his clock is ticking for the owners cannot ignore this for too much longer

Re: EFLT - Ipswich Town vs West Ham Under 21's Preview & Matchday Thread
He is certainly not a āqualityā juggler like Paul Lambert though, S&J.
These feckin overpaid tw@ts on the park should step up. That team picked by Paul Cook on saturday was the team 9 out of 10 ITFC fans would've pickedā¦.. no question at all. Was a colossal let down. Defensively, they need to take their fingers out their arsesā¦ā¦.. and Cookie??ā¦. He needs to put more faith in Valclav because heās a decent keeper.
Club have had Loach, Gerken, Holy etc etc over the yearsā¦ā¦. All mediocre crapā¦ā¦ Valclav is better. If any centre back pairing could play worth a fk, then that help the case.
Ftr, Opposite applies at Hibs. I do not rate Marciano at all. But the defence are solid on most days so his awfulness is masked.

Agree with the back four.BlueBalls wrote: āWed Sep 15, 2021 8:31 amThis is his best team:
Hladky
Vincent-Young - Edmundson - Burgess - Coulson
Harper - Morsy (c)
Burns - Norwood - Edwards
Bonne
Or perhaps the same players in a conventional 4-4-2
Hladky
Vincent-Young - Edmundson - Burgess - Coulson
Burns - Harper - Morsy (c) - Edwards
Bonne - Norwood
Bench: Walton, Donacien, Celina, Piggott, Woolfie, Penney, Carroll
I think heāll go with Morsy and Evans. Iām hoping Evans improves beside Morsy without the armband.
As for the front four. Burns deserves to keep his place. Probably Bonne, too. Edwards also. But there could be so many combinations. Thereās āmarqueeā signings who wouldnāt even make the 18. Celina didnāt come here to be on the bench. And thereās many more like that.
Concerned about KVY as teams tend to target our right-side and he looks weak defensively.

With respect BlueBalls that may well be best team in your opinion, but Vincent-Young had a total nightmare against Bolton. By all accounts Donacien was lot betterBlueBalls wrote: āWed Sep 15, 2021 8:31 amThis is his best team:

Right now quite simply put the players have to make Cook pick them, and I see very few players especially at the back making claims for their places

Thank Christ my broadband was down last night ( Iām staying Derbyshire this week!), so I had no idea at all Iād the score until about an hour ago .
OmG how much longer can PC survive this ? Itās a results industry and he is producing all the wrong sort . I kinda feel sorry for him in one respect , but seeing that team selection last night , itās his own fault in many ways . Wtf was he going making all those changes ????

Re: EFLT - Ipswich Town vs West Ham Under 21's Preview & Matchday Thread
My concern is that we seem to be getting worse each week rather than showing any sign of improvement.
I have also noticed that in the 2nd half of games the opposition seem to take control and Iām not sure this is just down to fitness levels but also other managers changing tactics and PC failing to adjust to this. As I said last night this really canāt continue for too long before the owners take action.
Anyhow, Iām now going to forget about ITFC for the next couple of days (at least until Saturday) and enjoy the rest of my holiday.

I think we do have to admit that so far we've not been able to play what Cook probably sees as his best Eleven which I believe will be....
Walton
Kvy
Edmundson
Burgess
Coulsen
Evans

Celina
Bonne
Personally I would go with
