4-2-3-1, or 4-4-2? Seems to make little difference to Ipswich!

TC’s playing style;
Thomas James Carroll is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for League One side Ipswich Town. Carroll plays as a deep-lying creative central midfielder, and is particularly valued for his high passing percentage accuracy and creativity. (Source Wikipedia)

For me Cook and Co have a hell of a lot to answer for, these players look an absolute disgrace and bereft of quality, confidence, concern, you name it.

Especially if the 4 in midfield play in a straight line. !AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:09 pm4-2-3-1, or 4-4-2? Seems to make little difference to Ipswich!

To be fair, we do occasionally pass forward. The issue is we never do it two passes in a row.
One or two up front makes no difference if you don't actually try and pass to them.

3 5 2 would at least give us some width. This is f**king sh*te no threat going forward what so ever.Charnwood wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:11 pmEspecially if the 4 in midfield play in a straight line. !AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:09 pm4-2-3-1, or 4-4-2? There will be a few in my personal opinion will be shown the door, not good enough, we need to dig deep or we are onto a hiding.
Mcgreal needs to make some changes and hate to say it, formation tweak, 4 4 2 is not working tonight.

If this is the best that he can motivate the players then McGreal needs to get the f*ck out of the club too god help us if he hangs around much longer, League Two beckons.

At least 4,2,3,1 potentially gives you goals from 4 players and allows the wing backs to attack. At the moment we look clueless which will just add to their confidence.

Think there is more than a few need to be shown the door. Absolute disgrace so far I really feel the fans who have made the effort to go there.
