McKenna was straight over to the ref on the half-time whistle.
Radio Suffolk saying there was definitely contact on Edwards.

Just watched it back. Edwards left his leg in but definitely contact. The Cambridge player involved walks away and smiles at his team mate - that possibly says it all!

Ref is a complete bell end, he is totally out of his depth here, pity the officials cannot be suspended for such poor decisions, costing us.
Kyle did not fake it and Woolfie did a decent challenge. The standard of officiating is utterly dire, want to ring his bleedin' neck.
Lucky for us Cambridge are poor.

Only got the Cambridge commentary. Quite adamant the red card was deserved as was Woolfy's yellow. Don't know how / if I can get Ipswich commentary?

I’m done with this Micky Mouse Competition with Micky Mouse Officials, no wonder this tw*t is used for woman’s games !
Can’t be arsed to watch the second half, will count my losses and watch Brighton v Forest, this is too annoying.

What I think the Ref is out to try and make a name for himself. To him if he can show he's not afraid to dismiss an Ipswich player, then he can make any decision.
2nd professional game and it shows, but in counter argument he has to learn his trade. Better him make those decisions in these kind of games and learn than in league games

Not sure about the 2nd professional game, where did that come from ? New professional appointments are usually only made in the summer and this is his 9th EFL game since the start of the season and 29th in the past 12 months.Steve wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 8:06 pmWhat I think the Ref is out to try and make a name for himself. Edmunsen does not look comfortable playing out from the back.

Offside in the build up to their goal?

Keeper at fault also looked offside in the build up.

He was definitely offside, it was just a case of whether or not he was interfering with play ?

Hopefully Kieron has been down the local Ipswich High School and picked 11 players for this. Male or female…… doesn’t matter.

Thinks:
“Are they taking this seriously?”

Edwards not being sent off and there'd only have been one winner here, the away team!marko69 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 8:51 pmSounds like he has had a total 'mareCharnwood wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 5:23 pmmarko69 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 6:34 am“And now……. from The Abbey……. At the end of the day we are through, played virtually the whole game with 10. Men too, youngsters, fringe players and those returning from injury got minutes so although frustrating to lose its kinda job done.

Agreed, don't like to see us lose but the key things was to get through with no significant injuries.

Cambridge lose out to Arsenal U21 anyway. Serves them right for not going for it from the start

Cambridge boss Mark Bonner was in no doubt that the red card was the wrong decision.
“It wasn't one, it was a penalty,” he said. “It was an absolute nailed on penalty. A scandalous decision that if it was given against me, I'd be fuming.”

A disappointing result; not particularly significant or important, but winning is a good habit to try and maintain.
Spent the second half watching on a laptop while simultaneously watching the mighty Luton beat Norwich on tv.
