He is slow and cant out run anyone. Whenever he gets the ball he tries a step over and gets tackled. He puts a few good crosses in but the amount of times he gives the ball away it just isnt worth having him in the team.

Also he is a little tart. He covers himself with hair highlights and fake tan. COME ON BFJ PICK JAMIE PETERS OR DEANO MAC SOMEONE WITH A BIT OFF PACE PLEASE

Yeah f*ck off, he was arguably our MOTM today. Sick of the anti-curry crap, give the lad a break when he plays his balls off for us.

Come on guys, lets not flame on of our own.

A lot of people have been slagging of Currie everyweek and I've heard no complaints before. Just because we win doesnt mean the whole 11 are perfect.

Saying that thought I thought Currie had one of his better games. Only person I was unhappy with was Price. He came out then went back then came out for their goal. I think his "coming of his line" part to his game is extremely poor. (Gonna start another thread about this)

I accept what you are saying is your opinion, BUT ..

One question...

WHAT HAS JAMIE PETERS OR MINI MAC YET DONE TO PROVE THEIR
PLACE IN THE FIRST TEAM..

Looking forwward to your reply..

True but neither of them have really been given a chance

Currie has underperformed all season and these young prospects havnt been given a chance.

They cant prove their worth if BFJ insits starting with the same old players

He did well today though, he got stuck in, he ran about, he had a good shot and passed the ball well.

Was certainly one of his best games, if not his best in a town shirt!

Crazyness!

Maybe, but I think Lewis was to blame for the first goal, so I'm not much better!

Maybe its because I really dont like him in goal I'm being harsh and looking for mistakes!

Had a quick look ont SkySports forum to see what people have been sayin,
as a neutral i think that darren currie is a good little player how long before the premier clubs come sniffing ?
Currie has a touch of class about him and when hes up for it really is a quality player.

Sod it - might as well throw my hat in the ring!!!

For what it is worth Yep currie had a good game. However he was allowed time and space to do what he can do well. Even the knockers will all admit that he can deliver good balls and pull out the odd good shot. He looked up for it today as did all the team and there is a great togetherness at the club presently.

However am I also right in thinking that Currie didn't deliver one telling corner???? Again not trying to knock him but from what I saw we wasted every corner we had.

BUt he played his part and at times our midfield looked world class, pass and move football was awesome. We have gone from a team who couldn't play - to a team who look awesome. If we can start scoring just a few more goals then this team should really take off.

Yes Mr. Mole I completely agree ( ) Having seen the mobility of the team yesterday and been impressed with it I would imagine that Currie, when he's not given space, could be a bit of a liability. But he was given space yesterday and used it well.

I don't buy all this 'Currie's running the game' crap from the Sky commentary team though. I think they get a few bulletpoints on the players before the game and regurgitate them at will.

And yes he wasted quite a number of corners. In fact our corners were terrible yesterday but the best thing is IT DIDN'T MATTER

Great performance enhanced by the complete ineptness of Norwich. What must Svensson & Earnshawe be thinking ?

Your post is naturally your "opinion" and thats fine - however you appear to demonstrate a complete lack of understanding of central function / role that Currie performed during the match. He was frankly "orchestrating" the midfield and continually "setting up" the forwards attacking options on the scum defence - if you really couldnt see that then maybe should take up watching dominos or even norwich since they lacked tactical awareness and a know how of the basic fundmentals of football !

Bloody Hell HB, whats rattled your cage?

I think your guilty of both exagerating Currie's performance against a p*ss poor side, and insulting a fellow blue. Surely we allowed to have differing opinions.
For what its worth Currie played one of his better games, but as people have already posted, he is rarely given as much time and space as he was a carrot road. But as for him "orchestrating" the game, leave it out!

He did orchestrate the game, if you want to put it that way. Christ, even Dazza's quality post from NorwichCityMad, with the most biased, p*ss-poor report about how we "stole" the game from the poor hard-done by uber-skilled Norwich team, made a nod to the fact that Curry pretty much dominated the game for us :)
