Even Alex Neil the Stoke manager totally praised Ipswich up

Think last time in the Championship it taken 8 games was it to record our first win?. Against Swansea.. Fantastic performance and fantastic time to be a town fan

We were without doubt the better side for an hour. The last 15 of the first half they looked better, and they came at us but the first 15 of the second. But we rode the storm and were the better side overall.
At our best they couldn’t hold us; I was so pleased with the first goal as it came from a free kick after one of their many fouls to stop us.
Hard to pick a man of the match. Morsy was solid but I’d have given it to Woolfy who scored and didn’t put a foot wrong.
We will give goals away with our playing out from the back. I just hope that when it happens we accept it as part of our style of play. They play with confidence and without fear of making a mistake. That is so good to watch and when we do concede from a mistake we have to remember all the good times we have done it so well.
My son came to watch the Sunderland game on TV; we went to matches together for a few years but gave up his season ticket due to work commitments. He said that it was the best football he’d ever seen An Ipswich team play. And he was right. It’s great to have won our first two games, it’s great to be top of the league. But best of all it’s great to be playing such attractive attacking football without fear. McKenna and the scouts and the financial backers have transformed us into an excellent team. Win, lose or draw I’m just enjoying the ride. God knows we’ve waited long enough.

Very well said Andy, just reading your post places a smile on so many faces. Totally true and really glad your son is enjoying watching Town play

It’s nice to see unlikely players scoring goals. It’s the sign of a very good team. Hope we keep it up. I have been very optimistic about this season and I said it before, KM’s playing style should & will make us contenders for promotion. You can call it pretty football, but if you limit possession for the opposition it makes it more difficult for them to score.

I can’t wait to watch the highlights. COYB!

We didn’t actually limit Stoke’s possession yesterday in fact they had 56% of it. The stats that stand out the most for me are Towns 22 Shots with 10 of them on target, this is a massive improvement on where we were this time last season and shows just how much we’ve improved. If we can maintain this level of pressure on our opponents the future looks bright and we can dream on.

Yes indeed, the chances kept flowing throughout, and as with last week even when Stoke had their "Ten Minutes" it was still us getting all the chances on goal.

I was pleasantly surprised by that stat. I know when doing the prediction league I felt perhaps I was overcooking it a bit by guessing 6 shots on target!! Looking at the other predictions I certainly wasn't alone, as a few of them were figures you could count on one hand - Fortunately coming from Norfolk, this didn't present a problem for me with my prediction

Well done Dazz btw for being the only one to guess correctly.👍

Yeah Sunderland had more possession as well, but there will be games we control that. Add that to the improvement in shots on target, and we'll be a force to be reckoned with.

With a new pitch tuned to our playing style, anything less than a home win would be a poor result in my book. We need to have the same sort of home form that Plymouth had last season.
I think we will win this one by a couple of clear goals.
They didn't let you down Gary 👍

SHMBO had to turn off the telly for a bit whilst I explained our result, form, ascendancy and overall tactical supremacy.

They certainly didn't, Mike. Actually I don't think we're anywhere near what we are capable of yet - God help the rest of the league in a few games time.

Just watched the highlights. Very strong performance indeed. All of the players looked full of energy and confidence. I thought Burns was brilliant. Stoke barely had a shot on goal. Play like that, and we won't need a lot of possession. Well done, lads!

I’ve seen the goals which were both very well taken but not seen any extended highlights. I think I’ve definitely chosen the wrong month to go on holiday for 4 weeks although Planet Blue did very well getting my new Town Shirt delivered to our hotel in Santiago within 2 days of ordering it. Even better it’s a perfect fit.👍
