Just seen the play back of Hladky’s top corner save from Rangers Ilias Chair’s 40 yd long range lob to catch him off his line which was brilliant and necessary to take all three points.

Ok , that has to be the most static and motionless defensive display seen so far by an opposition, BUT, Chappers done well. Superstar.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 5:08 pmTown goal here

Forget the performance the result was fantastic and sets a new Town record of 21 games unbeaten. Fantastic

OMG was carnage when we scored and at FT, much better second half but still needed Hladky to make a great save.
We can't be on it for 90 mins every week and yet we still had enough to get the job done,. Morsy immense again, Luongo so close to a second but all in all it was a gritty and dogged display by the whole team.
WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!!!!

So very true
Many teams who do well win these type of games. Its easier to win when you are playing on fire. Always sign of a good team when getting points, especially winning when not at their best

At FT in the Spurs game......, was great saying to the pain in the erse brother-in-law that Ipswich Town & Manure are only 11 placings apart.

Re: Championship - Queens Park Rangers vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
The last time I saw us win at QPR, Darren Currie made his Town debut in a 4-2 win. Today was certainly nothing like that win and at times we really had to scrap for the result. Several players really weren’t at the races today but it is a good sign that even when that happens we still can pull out a result. Special mention for Hirst, yes he may have missed that chance but he really worked his nuts off today. On several occasions he made runs which were not spotted by the player on the ball.
Just 41 points to go to reach our first objective of 50 points which should guarantee safety.

Check out that Armstrong boy they got, caused us no end of problems today. We could really use a player like that if on look out for another forward etc.
That player that tried a 'Nayim' effort at the end, thought Vaclav did really well to recover ground and tip over and away. In fact Hladky made a number of crucial stops and saves to get us any victory. Possible MOTM although don't know who got the award.
Up until we scored they should have been ahead, maybe 2 or 3 goals even. One effort that stayed out was remarkable. It was something of a steal from us over 90 minutes but i don't feel no sympathy for them.
They must be tired of East Anglia opposition by now as Norwich won there by a similar score only days before. Only concern being if we play like we did today for the most part against Leeds we run the risk of them tearing us a new as*hole. Though they were real impressive in their fixture even if could only get a point from their opponents.

It’s a good sign to win when we’re not at our best. I did say defensive reinforcements were necessary, especially with injuries. If Clarke goes down again we’ll be thin in defense. All in all, three wins in three is much more than I expected. Well done lads! COYB!

No sane manager this side of the Conference would have even considered taking this on (not you Paul Ince, wanker) and Gareth himself only accepted it out of blind love. Like some lovesick eejit walking away from an idyllic, ten-year marriage with his perfect fit to run off and live in a hut in Ethiopia’s Danakil Desert with some girl he titted up in the bogs at his Year 11 prom who got back in touch via the Facebook.
