Always good when the chasing pack drop points. That draw for them tonight now puts 12 points between us second and them in 4th place. A nice cushion to have. 👍

It’s a pity scum win (but Owls are crap at best), as wanted them to be under a big more pressure when playing us Sat.

Actually Wednesday have had a bit of a run recently so that Budgie result is a pretty good one for them.

Can't imagine they have got anything that can derail us though to be honest.

Yep, can't believe they're 4th in the form table. Not good. Thought they were playing worse than that.

Still stuff a bunch of canaries though.

Some ending to the half in Forfar, Mike? Dumbarton go 2-1 up in 45th......, Loons equalise 45+1....., Dumbarton go 3-2 up 45+3

Should be a decent 2nd half........, will it be the famous Forfar four?

Great result at Leeds

Leeds 1-1 Coventry

Are Southampton a problem. They got a big win today and not far behind. Leeds dropping points is useful for sure, real disappointed we couldn't pull further way ourselves but that's for another thread. Think we play them soon, hell that game has got some factor to it.

SPL today only added further disappointment. HOM got one of their results of a season, not only that Huns are now too close behind with games in hand. Title will go one of two ways - as always - but want to win it again all the same.

Wish Tommy Lockyer all the best by way of recovery also. Game at Bournemouth today stopped due to incident. He's better now by all account, alert and responsive, so that's good to know.

Yes no harm done with Leeds stuttering again, we maintain our 10 point gap and another tricky banana skin is out of the way.

Sad to hear about Tom Lockyear collapsing again, the main thing is that he is ok but I suspect that's his career done. Life is more important.

And, Leeds will be looking nervously over their shoulders at Southampton, more pressure.

Did this player collapse twice in today’s game or twice this season? Sorry not up to scratch with what’s happened. The game was abandoned. Hope he’s going to recover 🤞

This was 32mins ago in BBC news :

Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer is "stable" after he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during the abandoned Premier League match at Bournemouth, his club confirmed.

Both sets of players were taken off midway through the second half as Lockyer received medical treatment.

The 29-year-old was responsive as he was carried off on a stretcher to applause and taken to hospital.

Luton said Lockyer was "stable and currently undergoing further tests".

"Our medical staff have confirmed that the Hatters captain [Tom Lockyer] suffered cardiac arrest on the pitch, but was responsive by the time he was taken off on the stretcher," Luton said.

"He received further treatment inside the stadium, for which we once again thank the medical teams from both sides.

"Tom was transferred to hospital, where we can reassure supporters that he is stable and currently undergoing further tests with his family at his bedside."

Following confirmation the game was abandoned, both the Luton and Bournemouth players came back out on to the pitch to applaud the supporters, with Hatters manager Rob Edwards visibly emotional.

Lockyer collapsed during the play-off final win against Coventry in May before being taken to hospital.

He subsequently had heart surgery and was given the all-clear to return to playing in June.

The Premier League said in a statement: "The match between AFC Bournemouth and Luton Town FC has been abandoned due to a player medical incident.

"Our thoughts are with Tom Lockyer and all players involved in today's match."

Luton called for players, staff and supporters "to come together" in support of Lockyer and his family.

"We are sorry to all supporters present that players from both sides were in no state of mind to continue with the game after seeing their much-loved team-mate and friend taken off like that and staff could not carry on with managing the game in such circumstances," Luton said.

"We thank everyone for the wonderful applause and singing of Locks' [Lockyer's] name inside the stadium at such a difficult time."

Bournemouth responded to Luton's update on Lockyer's condition, saying: "We're relieved to hear Tom is responsive."

The club added: "Our thoughts will continue to be with Tom and his family at this time. We'd like to thank all the medical staff for their quick action as well as everyone inside the stadium for their support and unity during a difficult moment."

Get well soon Tom

Hi AndyM, thanks for that … I eventually found out anyway. Can’t believe I forgot his collapse
in the PO final. That’s him finished in the game now I think …. His luff is far more important than his job, frankly .

Clinical finishing. Every time they run at Birmingham they look like scoring 👎⚽️👎

1-3 now. At this rate we could finish with a cricket score ☹️

they got an end victory by 3 - 2. Seems it could have been by bigger margin, reports mention they were very impressive at times. Has Rooney even won a match with Birmingham yet, may have missed the occasion.

now three points over us with same games played. Going to be a pain in the as* trying to get or finish 1st place past them but we're in with a real good chance of getting the second auto slot all the same. Back to back promotions from League One here would be outstanding. Just about any fan would take runners-up position right here and now should it be offered.

That I think is the worrying part. Think they caught Birmingham on the counter attack a lot. Not sure our defence will cope. Hopefully KMK will sort it.
Just about to fly to Malaga, back Boxing Day. Hopefully no flight delay and I’ll be back in time for the match.

Hey Liz, I’m over for the game on Boxing Day. Would you recommend The Fan Zone for a pre match drink or stick with using one of the pubs.

Pubs, will be very cold!

Fanzone is ok but when its chilly it's not the best place to be standing around in.

Andy…….. you WILL be correct one of these days with the doubt you unfortunately consistently possess. Lets 🙏 you’re wrong again and Kieron indeed gets it right.

4-0 Leicester.

I’d probably go to a pub Andy… you’ll definitely notice the cold at 7-8pm on a winter UK night compared to Spain lol !!
Mike ( and occasionally me) will meet in the c*ck & Pye in town but there are pubs/ bars that are closer and will no doubt be busy!
