Eintracht Frankfurt to ……. Crystal Palace?
Appreciate the 14 whatever years in the EPL, but Crystal Palace? Don’t know why but i just think they’re a nothing club. Yes they’d arguably pump Ipswich and no doubt pump Hibs……..,
…… but, Crystal Palace?

Tbh that doesn’t surprise me. There’s a lot of pressure in the game these days snd the poor bloke is in his 70’s …. Hope he’s alright.

Re: KMc to Palace ?
The guys will be 77 later this year, which given the known pressures on football managers is ridiculous. The “poor bloke” as you put it should have retired from football management years ago and is a fool to himself. If he still wanted to work he could have found himself a consultancy job with less pressure and possibly avoided today’s incident which has kept him in hospital tonight.hallamblue wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 11:49 pmTbh that doesn’t surprise me. I suspect this will also accelerate Palace appointing his replacement which should eliminate their pursuit of our Kieran which would be very good news.

Re: KMc to Palace ?
According to multiple sources this afternoon former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner has agreed to take charge of Crystal Palace. A formal announcement is likely very soon which can put to bed all our concerns about losing Kieran McKenna. At least for the time being and hopefully at least until the summer.

Re: KMc to Palace ?
Ok this is totally hypothetical for conversation. If we get promoted and Kieran decided to move on…is there a cat’s chance in hell that MA could convince Jose Mourinho to manage Ipswich Town? I know it sounds crazy, but JM does have ties to both Bobby Robson and Kieran McKenna.

Re: KMc to Palace ?
The biggest problem with JM for me. is him appearing to be more interested in himself than the football club that employs him.

Re: KMc to Palace ?
Yes you’re right, but I’d accept the circus if we ended up in Europe again. I know it’s silly to think it would even be a possibility, but I can see JM taking the challenge…for Sir Bobby.

I don’t think there would be enough potential compensation in it for him.

Re: KMc to Palace ?
Price of success. Mind you would sooner be in a situation where other clubs want our manager than like it has been in the past where we couldn’t even give them away but still offer them 5 year contracts!

Oliver Glasner: Crystal Palace appoint former Eintracht Frankfurt boss as manager.
