Was going to say exactly that, only 4 lost all season and to put that in to perspective, Leicester have just lost 3 in a row. So if we had a wobble, are they now in crisis?!

Can’t wait for Tuesday and Bristol City at Portman Road. I thought last season was exciting but this is at another level.
Bring it on.
Bring it on.

I wonder if Axel will be able to play three quick games ? he was certainly MOTM I think he only made one mistake that I noticed.

Yep, massive game v Bristol City and after their mini-derby loss at home today, they'll be out to bounce back. But if Ipswich can keep on this wave of sheer confidence, can only be 6 wins from 6.

I actually don't think it's a bad result for us at all, a win today and we'll be level with Leeds and a mere Six behind the runaway leaders and champions elect Leicester, well that's what we were told.
I wonder who said that ? Mike

What a pessimist!
Worth noting also, that if you remove the parachute payment clubs, we'd be winning the league by 16pts!! That's something to get your head around.

Don’t underestimate how important that clean sheet was today. If we can have a few of those in the next 4 games we stand every chance of extending our winning streak to a run of 9 games. But hey, as McKenna often says, let’s take each game as it comes.

I certainly didn't. Thought he was utter mince when I first saw him. First touch like an elephant and also putting a couple other defenders under severe pressure.Charnwood wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 8:22 pm…. and quite a few on here don’t rate him.Cabanas Blue wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 7:23 pmI wonder if Axel will be able to play three quick games ? he was certainly MOTM I think he only made one mistake that I noticed.
But it must've maybe been nerves, and he looks like he will settle down and be a decent player at the club. Can only speak for myself, but I didn't rate him for a reason.

Any1 else think this will go down to the last Game of Season. Promotion at Portman Road would be so good.

Too busy to follow game progress but right off the bat that's a real good result for us to take back. Read most replies from the five pages presented and seems it were a lousy first half from us and fortunate to be level at interval time but improved after that and for the second 45 at least, were value for this victory.
Stats shows we had greater possession and goal opportunity but whether the first half were poor or otherwise, think by the end of it the best team probably won it. That's 5 or 6 games won in succession for us now, real promotion form or material after a poor spell before it. Number of other scores went for us today also, all said the fans got what they hoped for. Guess need to ascertain further information from the game but really that were just what was required. Back in the automatic places with it.

For me it was a no brainer to drag them into it, all these other wallies couldn't see it lolCabanas Blue wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 7:32 pmI actually don't think it's a bad result for us at all, a win today and we'll be level with Leeds and a mere Six behind the runaway leaders and champions elect Leicester, well that's what we were told.

We’ve not dragged them into it they’ve put themselves there with 3 straight defeats and a loss of form in front of goal. In the last 3 games they’ve created 50 something goal scoring chances and scored 3. They’ve missed Ndidi and now have Ricardo out injured until the end of March and Vestergard suspended for Tuesdays trip to Sunderland. Happy days.

I still think we may have been better off had Leicester won that game as we’d now be 5 points clear of nboth Leeds and Southampton. I guess we’ll not know for sure till the end of the season, but expect more twists and turns between now and then.

I’m really having trouble keeping my feet on the ground at the moment! I honestly thought we’d slip up today and to also get the clean sheet has put a smile on my face. Add the other results into the equation and just 3 points off top!…am I dreaming!

LOL - I guess I’m one of the wallies. I’d be way happier having that 5 point gap over Leeds had Leicester beaten them than the 2 we have now. The Foxes are on a wobble but I can’t see it being sustained - they’re still creating so many chances. Hope I’m wrong about this. Either way, the next 6 weeks are going to be epic.
How was Travis’s overall contribution? Saw a few comments earlier from the 1st half but it sounds like the team performance wasn’t great for the first 45.

It was tongue in cheek, hence the wink. FWIW I am convinced it was the right result when Leeds beat Leicester and it will unfold in the coming weeks, its not just about that game anyhow, they've lost 3 in 4 now and as we know only too well, numerous chances mean nothing unless you convert them. I still believe Leeds will be champions but we have a very good chance of second now, although saying that we also have a sniff of the title ourselves.QldBlue wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 12:10 amLOL - I guess I’m one of the wallies. All good - I saw the wink. And it’s true, that 3 point gap makes things exciting.Bluemike wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 12:37 amIt was tongue in cheek, hence the wink.
