Re: Premier League - Ipswich Town vs Liverpool FC Preview & Matchday Thread
6AM setting off to Ipswich tomorrow morning and I have no idea how I am going to fall asleep tonight.
Tomorrow will be very emotional day for me regardless of result. All these long years of darkness and painful decline......thought back then I would never us in the elite ever again.
Good things come to those who wait and we have been waiting longer than anyone else.
All these long years followed by playing Accrington, Fleetwood, Cheltenham.......dear me !
Thank you Kieran , thank you Mark Ashton , thank you Gamechanger. Blue Phoenix has risen from the ashes !

Yes tomorrow will be very emotional for us all, as you say from the days of Rochdale, Accrington and Morecambe to Liverpool, it is staggering. Will be in town early tomorrow to soak it up and down a couple of early beers before the game.
But most importantly, win, lose or draw please let's all have a sense of perspective here and remember where we are now and what we've achieved in such a short space of time. Stick with them no matter what, it's the ONLY way we can succeed. COYB'S

The whole occassion is gonna be unforgettable. It excites me even more than 90+ minutes on the pitch.Bluemike wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 10:13 pmYes tomorrow will be very emotional for us all, as you say from the days of Rochdale, Accrington and Morecambe to Liverpool, it is staggering. Even if get hammered this won't define our season.
I honestly can't get my head around it. Imagine waking up and realising it was only a dream and we are still in League One.

Have great day Mach. I’m still dreaming of us springing a surprise tomorrow even if the odds are stacked highly against us.

Excellent read, great start to the season. I set the game to record on USA network over here. I simply stared at "Ipswich Town v Liverpool" for about five minutes.
Have a feeling that we will come away with a 2-2 draw, which would be just fine I think.
There is a Liverpool bar in Columbus called McLellans. My best friend is a Liverpool fan, so he and I will be going there at 0730 and I will be the only one with an Ipswich jersey on. Oh yes, it will be the home blue to make sure I stand out! Hopefully we will see you on Saturday.

For the past 22 years every time there has been a cup draw I’ve hoped we would draw a big club at Portman Road. Today is not a cup tie but we are certainly playing a big club, with more to come this season. No doubt there will be some tough times ahead this year but whatever happens just remember where we were a few years ago.
Enjoy the ride and as the chant goes, we support the Ipswich if we’re down or if we’re up. COYB!!

Walton will be playing for the Jersey just like Hladky did when Walton was injured. I think he’s due a blinder.
