Sol Bamba

Adanaspor confirm that Sol Bamba fell ill yesterday before their away match vs Manisa, he was hospitalised, but unfortunately lost his life...

Very sad news and he was only 39. RIP.

Oh blimey, thats really young. Can only think its a cardiac event. Poor man, and his family.

Shocked to read this given his young age. I watched him play for Leicester City a few times when Sven was around and he was a decent player but didn’t fit when Pearson took over and went overseas I think to Turkey.

I seem to recall he had a form of cancer which was treated with chemo and got rid of. Maybe it came back although zi believe he was working within football on the day he died.

RIP young man and condolences to your wife and young family.
