Means Leicester will escape any threat of points deductions this season despite apparently breaching limit in the past.
Lucky Bar Stewards.

Re: Leicester get away with it
Well it basically seems they’ve got around it due to being relegated and out of the premier league for a season!
Seems the rules weren’t written well enough and they have exploited a loophole.

If it had been Town Luton or Burnley it would have been a different outcome the games just rotten.

I don’t think it would have mattered which club it was as long as they had an equally smart lawyer who was able to exploit the loophole in the wording of the rules.Cabanas Blue wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 10:20 pmIf it had been Town Luton or Burnley it would have been a different outcome the games just rotten.
I can imagine the EPL will be equally as pissed off as it prevents them implementing their own rules to stop clubs borrowing bottomless pits of money.
I’m not sure if this is the end of it or just the beginning. If little ol Leicester can run rings around the Premier League they have no chance of nailing Manchester City or Chelsea.

Well, you may as well tear up the financial fair play rule book right now and let clubs do what they want to do , and pay the consequences.
Absolutely ZERO chance now of bigger clubs being punished, and send out completely the wrong message to all professional clubs. The game in this country is going down the pain.
This is not the first time Leicester have walked away from their financial indiscretions. It makes me sick.

The Premier League have been made to look silly, they will be hell bent on getting Leicester back for the slightest indiscretion now and good job.

Not breaking the rules isn't getting away with it.Cabanas Blue wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 8:36 pmhttps://twitter.com/martynziegler/statu ... reach%2F13

Thousands of people avoid paying their taxes by hiring very exprnsive accountants to look for the loop holes in written rules.
Call it clever if you like. Depends what side of the fence youre on I guess, but its cheating and morally corrupt. We'll see what Man City and Chelsea 's expensive lawyers come up with shall we!

Re: Leicester get away with it
Leicester have history of walking away from their debts, not paying a single penny to the people they owed.
Town didnt, and went into administration as a result.
Luton dicked 30 poihts gor sond indiscretion, znd nearmy fokded as s club. Probably far less of an indiscretion than anything Man City or Chelsea are currently up to.
Evidence enough for you?

Come on mate, there’s no argument whatsoever that they didn’t break the rules. Their legal team have found a loophole relating to jurisdiction.Blue Bentley wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 12:13 pmNot breaking the rules isn't getting away with it.Cabanas Blue wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 8:36 pmhttps://twitter.com/martynziegler/statu ... reach%2F13

As a result of their overspend, you could easily argue that they accrued a massive advantage in squad strength in the Championship that led to their promotion.
Abusing the rules in Sport and wangling your way out of it is not something to be admired.

I think Leicester are far from out of the woods...according to this anyway.
