Yes yes yes it’s Delap again

What a signing he’s proving to be. Our best No 9 since Paul Mariner, and he does it all himself again.

Again our second half stats are looking good against a very good team Villa too.
McKenna is doing a brilliant job getting this team up to scratch.

2-2 and what a great performance that was. A very good game against a very strong Villa team who came into the game on the back of 3 straight wins.
Up to 15th in the table and Villa miss going equal top of the Premier League.

Great result.
Up to the heady hights of 15th.
Can't believe we have only lost the 2 games so far. A win must be on the cards soon!!

When is Sam Morsy going to learn his to play more canny in this league. He has so much to offer and so many attributes but simply needs to learn to avoid collecting yellow cards for fun.

If we keep progressing at this rate we could end the season somewhere close to mid table. Kieran you’re a genius.

Town deserved at least a point when you consider the chances created. Best performance so far this season for me.

Totally agree though at 33 not sure he'll change. My worry is players from other teams knowing this and will throw themselves down to the ground.
Far as the ref is concerned he did us a favour in not sending Morsy off, other than that I think he was poor to average
So proud of Town though. Looking at the league played 5 of the top 8 teams. drawing with Fulham, Brighton and now Villa, only losing against Liverpool and Man City.
Not bad, just like to turn these draws into wins.. We'll be okay in this league

Villa players threw themselves thd whole game. Booking for Town players ...rarely given against Villa players when they fouled us!

Superb performance and deserved to win, better side for much of the game. Had we not gifted them Two goals we'd have won against a very good side who I felt we made look ordinary.
Quite how Delap didn't have a hat-trick I'll never know but he is a beast. Morsy and Phillips absolutely excellent in the middle, Davis also had a very good game.
I thought Clarke was awful first half, lazy, weak and not looking interested but much better after the break. Hutchinson again infuriated me, so many times he lost the ball in dangerous situations and all too often made the wrong decision.
Disappointed we gifted them Two goals, Greaves awful clearance for the first and a few players can look at themselves for the second, we must be better than that.
Prior to the start this would be a huge point gained, on balance of play it's Two lost against a very good side. There is zero doubt we are getting better with each passing week and to be where we are after having played four of the top six is very encouraging. I'm pretty confident we will be just fine.

Re: Premier League - Ipswich Town vs Aston Villa Preview & Matchday Thread
That is the first time I've seen us play this season and I thought it was a fantastic spectacle. Was chatting with a Villa fan in the bar and he was impressed by us.
Morsy staying on the pitch when he should have had 2 further yellow cards was a slice of luck. Phillips' piledriver would've taken out the net and half the stand behind had Martinez not parried it. Ogbene didn't really overly impress me, however I liked what I saw of Jack Clarke and feel he's done enough to win himself a starting place.
All in all there's a lot to be very positive about.

What a fantastic performance against a top class side. So proud of the club and at what has been achieved in such a short space of time.
It’s remarkable that we can go toe to toe with a team like Villa when only two years ago we were playing in league one.
Genuinely feeling pretty emotional right now.

No need for further comment from me as this hits it 100%. Tell you what though... in a league I expected to hate, boy was that fun! 'Liam Delap Ole Ole'!! Need to use an image host like ImgBB, that's how I do it and then put the address of that image in the image linky thing on here.
Maybe I'll make a thread or something about how to do it? May get more photos and interaction? Don't know if it's any issue for Frosy/mods though.
Cracking point today by the way. Still being frustrated not to get 3pts, but I think it's great signs that we're performing so soon. 5 out of 6 games have been against teams in the top 10, and the other was an away fixture. It's not an easy start, so to be 15th (a win would have given us 13th!) Is excellent I think.
