Stupid foul. Why just stick your foot out after he has gone by?

Lazy tired tackle br David but the right decision. Just a shame Jack Clarkeโs brilliant effort struck the post. A great second half though, just hope we can hold on for a point.

That is on McKenna again for me, both positively and negatively. A point I would have taken at the start is gained due to him staying with the winning formula but then on 80 minutes when it was crying out for an extra defender or instructions to protect the lead and we hare up the pitch and give away a lazy penalty. Poor game management for me. When will he learn that we will not outscore teams in this league every week?

Fantastic day of footballโฆโฆ.. two Messiahs; Sir David Gray & KMcK earning their crust in admirable fashion. Very VERY well done chaps against tough opposition.

Decent point but could have been so much more.
Morsy and Davies really poor on the pens.
Keep playing like this and Town can survive

For me J Clarke isn't goid enough yo be playing in PL . He's far too lightweight. Davis loaes his defensive bavk up ftom Broadhead when Clarke replaced him. Al Hamadi again far too lightweight. And that's it in a nutshell. Our bench is too lightweight

You wouldn't have been saying this if Clark effort had went in. Small margins. You need to stop the Mckenna bashingBlue Wilf wrote: โSun Jan 05, 2025 4:57 pmThat is on McKenna again for me, both positively and negatively. Would have taken a point before the start but disappointing to give away two needless penalties.
Feeling a lot more positive after the last two performances though. COYB

I think this will change by the end of the January transfer window Liz.hallamblue wrote: โSun Jan 05, 2025 5:00 pmFor me J Clarke isn't goid enough yo be playing in PL . He's far too lightweight. So close to a win but Morsy and Davis stupid challenges for pens.
Clarke so nearly won it but for me the subs were baffling, should never have taken Broadhead and Delap off, I feel we win that game had we not.
However had Leif Davis got the Red he deserved we probably lose that game.
The most important thing I take from it is going on what I've seen last Two games I'm changing my mind and saying as long as we continue with this formation we'll stay up.

Well whether Clarkes effort had of gone in or not (fact is, it didn't), we still did not need him to be there at that point in the game - we were winning already. He should have been helping out Leif Davis who was up in support of him to enable that effort. Small margins, yes but play the percentages and in this case he (McKenna) got it wrong in my opinion. If it were once, you could go with your argument but it is a consistent error.valleyroad wrote: โSun Jan 05, 2025 5:00 pmYou wouldn't have been saying this if Clark effort had went in. Small margins. I didn't follow the game, so I'll be less emotional than most.
I see it a point won and with looking at the stats it has to be a fair result. Yes there are always if, buts and maybes, but that could apply both ways. We're in touch with Wolves and Everton whilst slightly gapping Leicestet, that's big.

By the way 'we' don't need to do anything of the sort. I would argue that 'you' need to wake up and smell the coffee cos we see this week after week and you dare not criticise what is clear to see. I think you are mistaken. I reserve every right to say what I think and it is not 'mcKenna bashing' - if you think that then you need to grow a pair or grow up.valleyroad wrote: โSun Jan 05, 2025 5:00 pmYou wouldn't have been saying this if Clark effort had went in. I donโt think you can expect Delap to play the full 90 minutes after putting in that kind of effort, he needs to be managed so heโs equally effective in every game

Iโm not sure why you think Davis should have been sent off Mike. If we had those decisions given against us every week youโd be going f**king nuts blaming poor refereeing, dodgy VAR and sh*t Premier League. That was a nailed on yellow card, nothing more.
