Godfrey has been awful. All three goals down our left hand side.
That’s what happens when you throw in a player who’s not played a full competitive league game all season.
The gulf between the two teams is massive and we have to appreciate that.

We're not very good, are we.
The differences between the top & bottom of the Premiership clearly on display. Very sad.

When he’s left on his own marking two players is bad enough but when one of them is Kevin DeBruyne what should we expect. I’m not even sure Tuanzebe could stop MSN City in the mood they’re in today.

Caught some very good players playing well today I'm afraid. I'd take 4-0...

True, facts are obvious. Would love to see a European super league.

I bet Philogene sitting in the stand is wishing he stayed at Villa. At least he won’t have to worry about Jack Clarke keeping him out of the team.

Look forward to hearing the views of those there.
They’re spot on. They ARE a Championship team prematurely negotiating the EPL.

With all three promoted clubs holding the relegation spots, its seems all are playing like Championship teams.
High % on here and on other platforms knew it’d be a tall order to stay up…….. that applies to Kieron McKenna, or Big Ange, or Brendan Foster or Neil Warnock , or any other “names” that could've been thrown into the ring.
“The process” is about the big FUTURE picture for the club which gamechanger started after prising from the grips of Mevans. The club are currently in that process. If anyone on here or anywhere else believes there is A.N.Other who could step in and make the process a smoother, less bumpy journey, let’s hear the names.
At least then there is something to discuss.

We don’t have a single player in our squad who could command a regular place at another Premier League Club outside the trio of teams in the current relegation slots. So I guess playing like a top Championship side shouldn’t really be a surprise against a team that only 5 years ago won the domestic treble when I think we were in League One.

Wrong, It was Johnson at fault for allowing DOKU too much space, Godfrey played ok for his first proper game and got tired in the 2nd half, but it's our defence and midfield that needs better quality players, Morsy I think. he is in his last season, and his legs are shot with the number of mistakes he made, it was good to see Axel although if only for a short kick around.
The one thing that sticks out a mile is if you want to be successful in the Premiership your club has to have
£500' 000' 000 million to spend on players most of the ones we have at the moment are bang average at best. I thought Philogene had some lovely touches so can we please bring in a Right winger who is as good, Hutchinson has lost it on the Right he's incapable of taking on full-backs. We have Liverpool next at Anfield another tonking on the books, and also with Delap how the hell can he work on his own up front he was made to look very poor today chasing shadows none of the Goals was Wharton's fault, it says it all when you bring on Taylor and Luongo in midfield cannon fodder even if we had Phillips to come on we would have struggled, so its huge changes or we are down and back to the championship

We were totally outclassed today. Such is life and it was pretty much expected to be fair. Whilst I still have issues re the selection, set up and the fact that Jack Clarke is hopeless at this level, and Hutchinson is too lightweight, I won't labour the point cos against a club bankrolled by the nation state of Saudi Arabia, you are never going to get a fair impression! On to Liverpool and I am dreading a long journey for a similar outcome but it has to be done. This gane will not be the one that relegates us - those games have been and gone. Our only hope now is to try and keep Leicester and S'ton below us and haul in Wolves, Everton or Spurs to take the 3rd relegation slot

I'm so glad the team go a good reception at the end & no-one turned on them. I know they are well paid professionals but it must have been bloody hard coming out after half-time knowing what was in all likelihood going to happen.
Well done the team & the supporters.

Our Plastic League survival is in our own hands frankly. If we beat the likes of Saints, Leicester, Wolves, Everton, Palace, we WILL stay up. But in the first half of the season we failed to show uo in must win games as we so often do. Our survival is not about games like to today it's about winning that mini league of those relegation rivals. THATS what we need to win!

But what people are forgetting Andy is a lot of our squad are League One players. To compete the way they are in this Plastic League is nothing short of a miracle really.

Read this fellas, and CHILL OUT TONIGHT OK!!
Bloody hell. Absolutely frighteningly good at times, I really don’t think you appreciate it until you see them up close and personal like that. Literally unreal. Not a huge surprise of a club that’s won the last 4 premier leagues, 6 of the last 7 titles, literally assembled some of the best teams in the world over the past 10+ years and has £100m signings on the bench, but still. Not fun to watch your side schooled like that but you’ve got to recognise their talent and I sat there at times just in awe tbh, especially after sitting through Morecambe on a Tuesday night not long ago. They’re just so so good.
I know it’s been said a million times but the jump in quality to the premier league is absolutely ridiculous isn’t it? Even to a Brighton or Fulham, but up again significantly to a Man City, its unreal. I think that side we put out today wins the championship. Not that we would have all those players at that level, but it’s a squad that wins it IMO. I’m not sure what the answer is or if I'm even particularly enjoying this season as a supporter, it feels a pretty thankless ask on days like today.
No need to overreact to this evening. Keep the spirit up, keep the heads up, get through Liverpool and hopefully bounce back with a W against Southampton to kick start the run in into Spring.

Yep…… true, you are putting even more emphasis on the point…….. That league One squad made the Championship look like a piece of cake under the current regime & current process. …….. but…….. the SKY guys are correct ——>> defending like a Championship team, because that’s what they proved themselves to be.
And they’re busting a gut in an attempt to be EPL.
