I'd have had Hirst on WITH Delap.

...................Hirst
Broadhead .. Delap....Hutchinson

Hirst HOLDS the ball up. Plays people into the game. For gods sake it's not rocket science. But he won't TRY IT will he. It's poor management of his squad.
I did not realise Hirst AND Delap was a tried and tested formula that works so obviously that the "rocket science" saying could be used.
No, it's not tried and tested is it, because the tw*t wont TRY IT.

Can you not see the merits of having BOTH on in the above front line suggested? Really??
I struggle to see how you are so down on that performance. I thought the game was an improvement on the last two games. But, there you go.

Utter sh*te. Delap, usual selfishness and falling over looking for free kicks. Clarke always losing the ball and that pass when 2 on one to Ensico was dreadful. Philogene, forgot he was starting.Mckenna starting line up a bit strange to me and taking too long to bring on fresh legs
Started today thinking town had an outside chance of beating the drop but not now. Hope the likes of chapters burns walton etc get fit real soon and use them I the final games of the season. Bench all these overpaid newbies who are using ipswich as a stepping stone to bigger clubs or are trying to revive their careers. Play the old guard who got us here , and go down as a team who look like they want to fight for the club

Watching live in Hanoi Vietnam. Town don't look uncomfortable had a couple of chances Henderson making good saves. Palmer made a good save early on. Game quite even. He hasn't tinkered as the uneducated might suggest he has picked what's available. 🤷‍♂️

Right. Better get yourself along to Bia street for a few to cheer you up. The rooftop northern soul is always fun and affords good views of the melee 🙂

We did not deserve to lose the game and could of won with a bit of luck. All this bollocks about playing two strikers is getting boring 😴 We are not getting relegated because of that. We are going down because of Muric who' has cost us 12pts this season. That's the difference. 🫡

I'm not down on that performance marko. I'd say that was the best we've played all season. No way could you differentiate between the established PL and the newly promoted one.

MY gripe is McKenna persistent reluctance to play BOTH Delap and Hirst, the latter leading the line with his abilities, and Delap in the number 10 role , OR wide right with hus attributes. At least TRY it.

That's it. So near and yet so far.

Yep Muric was a gamble that didn't pay off, we've been unlucky with injuries too. But generally we've just come up up against better, stronger players.

Not all over yet. But if Wolves get a result tomorrow will look very difficult

The inexperienced striker who has scored 10 in in a struggling team. If we had those extra 12pts on the board we we would be a different team. We would not be arse twitching we would be playing with a bit more confidence. So stop banging on about 2 strikers or KMck being nieve and face facts. Our sh*t keeper Muric has got us relegated, no other reason ffs.

Palmer kept us in it again.

Delap needs to get his head up and learn how to pass. No chance of playing for England when such a greedy player.

Davis sh*t again. People blaming Philips but question mark over Greaves for the goal for me. These two never far away when there's trouble.

I did not realise Hirst AND Delap was a tried and tested formula that works so obviously that the "rocket science" saying could be used.
So why has it not been tried then? I'd have thought that our low goal tally this season would be crying out for something different to be tried. And that is solely down to the manager, no?

Look through the trees Liz, this game has nothing to do with game management nor tactics. Its purely they put away their chance because Phillips for whatever reason was not strong enough. I think you are clouding your vision to what you think of the season as a whole and not on this one game
Not for the first time 🤪
Ah, Mendip, I've finally cracked the conundrum - several of us on the forum have postulated that you are actually Derek (previously banned).

Now I see it all - are you Donald Trump or JD Vance? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You’re negative though. Your natural “go to” is Luton.

I’ll say Burnley or The Blades. Have more faith in your club.

Let's not forget Leeds, who we're nailed on immediate promotion candidates back to the PL, some three seasons ago, with a FAR better squad than we currently have.

And of our current swuad, how many of our better players will remain at PR " trusting the process"? Indeed, will the manager remain at PR next season in the Championship,
" trusting in HIS process"?

Of course they won't. To quote one of your phrases marko, "it's all wind and pish"

The word “process” was only ever used in the context of ITFC as a whole, building again from the ruins & shyte-pile left after Mevans…… and used by Mark Ashton.

Can anyone, (not just you Hallam) put something on this site in relation to Kieron McKenna referring to “picking the team” as a process.
Because i missed that memo.

Our inexperienced striker who scored the majority of his goals in the early part of the season, when he was the suprise new kid on the block. He has scored previous few since those initially games. But I dont blame him. (He's one for the future),I blame McKenna who has placed this clubs PL survival squarely on his young and inexperienced shoulders and refuses to TRY something different up front.

Get your head out of your arse and see what's in plain view. We can't score goals from gilt edged chances. It's been like it all season. Yes, Muric was a car crash. But he hasn't played for several games, and STILL we lose, despite matching our opponents. Is that Palmers fault now then?

We dont score enough goals!

And as a friend said to me, how can the other forwards be expected to score goals when they're sat on the bench for the whole game.

Today, Hirst on with FOUR mins left to play. Really???

McKenna has used that phrase several times in post match interviews when justifying the performances/ results marko.

I can't tell you just how frustrated I am with McKenna now. I voukd cry at today's result. It needn't have been this way, but he will not try two strikers in any formation.
Mendip blue seems to think you can only play two strikers in the same team in a 442.... how little he understands the game it seems.

Could be “The Joe Tortolano Syndrome” Hallam.
Hibs player from the 90s. Quoted as being, (don’t laugh yer a$$ off) “better than Maradona” BUT, only in training.
He couldn’t perform in front of a crowd every game and tried too hard.
Pizza Joe had a rough time at Easter Road. Poor guy.
