Butcher, Mariner, Wark, the Dutchies and Cooper were my heroes when I first started supporting Town (actually the whole team of the early '80's really!).

Recent heroes have been Hrreidarrson, Gaardsoe and Stewart.

Has to be Walk... I would say he is the number one Ipswich icon. Think of Ipswich, think of John Walk!

Kevin Beattie for me.

Not only was he an excellent player and a real 'Mr Ipswich' he was also very good looking in the 70's.

I can't believe George Burley has been left off the list!
Not only was he in a great Ipswich team but he came back to manage us too!

Tho if u're looking purely at playing careers....mmmmm Beattie was great but injured a lot if I remember rightly. I'd be hard pressed to decide between Paul Mariner and John Wark.

Arnold Muhren i remember him scoring some fantastic goals for us in fact he scored the best goal i`ve ever seen from a corner kick.he is the best player ever for me.
