He's awful, doesn't know what he's doing. Doesn't know what his best line-up is and won't allow any players that are playing well in the Premiership a chance for England.

Wish he'd left after Euro 2004.

Problem is: who do you give it to?

Curbishley?

I would have liked to have seen Redknapp take it. Think he would have been a bloody brilliant England manager.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! INSANITY, SVEN'S TEAM PLAY A GREAT GAME (WHEN AT FULL STRENGTH) AND HAVE LOOKED A LOT MORE THREATENING AT THE TOP LEVEL SINCE HE TOOK OVER, SHOULD HAVE HAD BRAZIL IN WORLD CUP - A BIT UNLUCKY, SHOULD HAVE HAD FRANCE IN EURO 2004 - DITTO PORTUGAL, BOTH GAMES WERE TRAGIC LOSSES, PLAYERS FAULT ONCE THEY'RE OUT THERE FOR SO LONG - I JUST THINK WITH SVEN AT THE HELM ENGLNAD HAVE A VERVE AND DANGER ABOUT THEM WHICH HAS BEEN MISSING FOR YEARS, CANT SEE WHO YOU WOULD REPLACE HIM WITH, SOMEONE WITH THE RIGHT STATURE/EXPERIENCE, ANYTHING ELSE WOULD BE A GAMBLE / LOW KEY AFFAIR - (WENGER ACCEPTED!)

THE WHOLE TEAM IS CENTERED AROUND BECKHAM,,, WHO I THINK HAS HAD HIS BEST YEARS BY FAR... ITS ALL ABOUT HIM AND HIS MATES.. KEEPING THEM FIT.... THAT FORMATION HE PLAYED LAST NIGHT WAS A BIG MISTAKE IN MY EYES AND HIS COMMENTS AFTER WERE STUPID!!!

WHAT A PLONKER!!!

dont sack him, but i think he should have played how we normally do, instead of playing stupid formations and playin players outta position. e.g. Andy Johnson, he was on the rgiht, should have been one of the centre two... but hey, what are we gunna do about it anyway!!

Oh dear! I keep hearing these people defending Sven. Why, I ask??? Look, if anyone deserves credit for England's success, or lack their of it's the players. Unfortunately, some of those players are beginning to slack off. For example, Beckham and Owen were ineffective last night. We have to start looking at our future, and Sven needs to start developing the younger players now...if we're ever going to win a major tournament, that is. I just hope Wright-Phillips, Johnson and Downing all get another chance. Some of you will say, WP gave the ball away and missed clear cut chances. Well, it was his first international he was probably a bit nervous. Gerard and Lampard also gave the ball away. And further still, how many times have Beckham and Owen missed chances? WP runs at defenders creating problems and imbalance in the opposition. The only other England player that does that is Rooney, and we all know what he can do. Owen should of been replaced by Johnson at the half...that one is obvious, anyone disagree? Also, why the hell is Owen Hargreaves still in the squad...he's absolutely rubbish. I'm not sure I'm ready to axe Sven just yet, but I look forward to his replacement (hopefully an Englishman). I think Redknapp would be the perfect choice, but the FA would never allow it because he's too controversial. It's amazing how that man molds a squad out of nothing.

I just think people are angry because they wasted two hours of their lives watching that crap.............
We'll qualify for the world cup, get through the group stages and get knocked out in the quarter finals. Even I'm starting to turn on Sven now............

However, the people I feel sorry for are the people who paid £30-£40 to be there last night! Jeez, what a waste of money, it's a friendly guys what did you expect.......

Actually...I've defended Swen a lot in the past - but last night was the first time I thought perhaps his time has come and gone - he seems to tied to Beckham (who should be dropped in my opinion), and seems intent on keeping the top players, in the wrong formation, instead of deciding his tactics, and choosing players to suit. His treatment of Johnsson was just plain wrong, and his loyalty to Beckham and Owen is plain misguided.

Mind you...who the hell could replace him....Mouhrinio for England?

Sven won't be sacked no matter what, because the FA is skint, and couldn't find the dosh to settle his contract.

You cant knock Sven's record tho. Look where we were when he took over and look where we r now. Some ppl actually believe we can win the world cup, which is better than when he took over cos ppl didnt even think we'd qualify. Yer some weird subs last nite and some weird decisions in the past, and yer sometimes its a bit boring. (eg in world cup 2002, we only scored in 1st half! and the nigeria game esp were boring!) But he does get results in the games that matter!

But to b honest, i dont care half as much about england as i do about Ipswich!
