Ipswich captain Jim Magilton has hit out at Town fans over their treatment of striker Sam Parkin.
The frontman has been targeted for abuse by some sections of supporters during his side's poor run of form.
Magilton told BBC Sport. "It is a disgrace. I have a lot of time for Sam - and he will score goals for us.
"Once the fans realise what he is doing for us, they will soon take to him. He is our top scorer now so he must be doing something right."
Parkin, 24, has scored five goals in 13 starts since moving to Portman Road from Swindon Town for around £750,000 in the summer

Have to say, don't know anybody who disagrees with Jim - look on every forum and everyone says the same thing - yet at the game, people are jeering - who are these people?

Why not start up a Sammy parkin chant next game?
Try to get some people from this forum together to get "One Sammy Parkin..." or another chant started.

Maybe its 450k rising to 750k depending on goals, appearances and whether or not the poor bugger gets cheered by his own supporters

Thats a good idea, I know it sounds sad, but I'd glady right into the club if it helped Sam's confidence! Confident striker = more goals!

An idea might be to run a thread similar to this one perhaps, where we can can all leave our support for Sam. Then someone in ipswich could print the pages off and drop them into the reception at the training ground.

We could get someone to print them out and mail them to:
Sam Parkin
Ipswich Town
Portman Road
Etc

He'll get a hat-trick tonight and we'll all be singing his name on Saturday, you mark my words!
Would be good to all leave a message and then send it on to the club. I'll start one now!
