WHY TWO FORUMS GUYS ?

Post by Dubai Blue » Wed Nov 16, 2005 1:02 pm

I guess I missed something recently but please can someone tell me why we now have separate ITFC & General football forums.

In my opinion its a backward step because we get less contributions to threads in both forums, (at least less broad). I thought it was good when they were mixed up and no big deal to switch brains when responding

Also more likely to stumble across an interesting subject while catching up on the latest ITFC news without trawling around different forums.

Please make them back into one :D

Things arent really busy at the moment granted, but then it wasnt before we made the 2 sections, I thought it might spark things off.

The reason I've done this is because the focus has always been about the football, thats why we're ALL on this forum. Now with only 2 real main sections before (General Chit Chat and just Football) I thought the focus was split 5050, but now this way there is more focus on the footballs section which still is and always has been trouble free and pleasent.

That was the method behind my madness.

Well Dazza, I for one feel very happy with the Tractor Boys experience and I'm all for trying ideas out even if those ideas are not that popular to start with. We can be surprised.

However I just feel that if there are other users out there like me, checking out the forum whilst working (or doing who know's what !), they are much less likely to want to check out both the ITFC and the General football sections.

Don't forget that I'm sure that many (like me) navigate directly to the forum, skipping the index altogether.

You are right btw the forum seems to have become more friendly recently with less trouble and abuse. Shame this has coincided with many less posts...

Always good to try out new things chap - but I think one forum is far better for all footy chat. Otherwise we will all become fragmented and seperated, which in turn will lead to even lesser posts.

If it ain't broke..............throw it down the stairs hehe :D

Great post DB, and I agree with you, IMO the posts will start pick up again as the footie season gets more interesting for us all

I'm just jumping on the "re-unite the football forums" bandwagon. Don't mind me.
