Depressing times...

Post by Dazza » Mon Nov 28, 2005 6:58 pm

I am just so bored by football right now. Maybe that I have a billion other things going on in my life atm, but it doesnt help when we're this sh*te.

I am just not looking forward to games! Normally I'm coutning down the days, hours and minutes, but not anymore.

It comes to a home game and I just really cant be arsed to spend in total 4 hours travelling doing 200+ miles and to spend £30 in petrol, food and program (plus what my season tickey has already cost!) to watch such boring football. I mean I'll still go and I wont miss a home game this season, but still, its not good, its hardly entertainment.

Its crazy, you all know me, the born optimist, I love Ipswich and I normally have so much blind faith, but not anymore - its sad.

At this rate I'll be happy if we avoid relagation - now that is sad!

Know what u mean m8, luckily I dont live too far and dont have to pay for travel etc, but atm I have absolutely no motivation to go to any away amtches, feel sorry for all the people who went to cardiff, its not jsut the losing because that wud be fickle, its the doom and gloom surrounding club as we know he ghave no money to make those £1million signings that can change a season ala Stewart and Holland, something really has to chnage, im almost thinking its better we keepm lsoing to force change rathe rthan get into a false sense of safety

Same here Dazza I just don't enjoy home games at all anymore, I first started felling like it in pre-season probably because of the morons who sit around me (not you Jonno, Phil & Nikki) and also the atmosphere or lack of it should I say in the north lower is sh*te. The old north was so much better

I love going to away games still, just couldn’t be bothered with all the travelling tonight it’s the first away game I’ve missed this season.

I’ve seen us play a lot worse than tonight, Burnley away was 10 times worse that that.

Looking forward to Saturday NOT :?

Nothing is going our way at the moment, and it seems to be reflected in my life as well

We need some rich fat git to buy us and inject some capital into the club to kick start us into life.

They keep booing and jeering Parkin everytime he gets the ball, at least they can't do it now but they will find another player to do it to now

Im with you on that one. Before last weekend i have been looking forward still to the home games It felt like an age that i hadnt seen ipswich play during the international break . However on the saturday I spent 3 hours on an ITFC coach on the way to coventrywith aload of retards around me talking about crap and " watching " shrek 2 and for what ? Ipswich to half heartedly give a game and making coventry look a decent team. The following Tuesday i knew Ipswich would lose, but i still took the night off work so therefore didnt get paid, spent 5 hours of my evening in the freezing cold. Watched an ipswich side role over and let reading comfortably beat us. Wait an hour for a train on a freezing cold platform and get home at 11:30. Thats when it hit me what a complete shadow of a team we were to last season and how it was a similar night that we had just beat sheffield united 5-1. After that i have completly lost the usual buzz i have on a matchday I didnt even bother going round a mates to watch the game yesterday on sky. Im not looking forward to saturday Wolves tore us apart last season at their place. I dread to think what they will do this time around.

keep the faith my friends, Joe Royal is a good manager and very honourble. looking in from the outside ipswich are still very highly rated and will be there or abouts again.
Ipswich's problem is the same as 90% of clubs, they have to balance the books, would rather be in our boots than say Forest etc.

And sats game will be another great contest as alway's between two great clubs. shame were gonna win ha ha.
