Norwich chief executive Neil Doncaster says Nigel Worthington is still in charge at Carrow Road because the club believe in what he is doing.
The Canaries have refuted claims that paying off Worthington would cost them too much money as unrest grows as his side struggle to make an impact since suffering relegation from the Premiership last season.
With Norwich eight points adrift of the play-offs some fans have been questioning why the board have persisted with Worthington, fuelling speculation he was on a lucrative four-year deal.
However, City moved to quash those rumours, revealing the Irishman has a 12-month rolling contract.
"The reason - the sole reason - why the board has not terminated the contracts of the coaching team is because they believe that this would be the wrong thing to do," he said.
"The stability and continuity which has served us so well since Nigel took over in 2001 is the route to long-term success which we all crave for Norwich City," Doncaster told the club's official website.
Long may he continue doing such an outstanding job!

Ahhh the trusty vote of confidence speech! Hopefulyl he'll carry on doign as porrly so our poorness will be sort of masked by them, and then Ashton will leave them when the transfer window opens and they'll have even less hope.
