marko69 wrote:Ohio, got to be honest, I really don't like the MLS. I've tried to get into it a few times, but for a few reasons, it's not happening. The commentators play a large part. I only like hearing "deeeefence" during US Football, not soccer. There are other things that get on my tits about it too, but what I'm saying is....., It'd be wrong accepting a "Crew" hat. And as you know, I'm an all things Michigan fan, so all things "buckeye" is definitely out!!

Here is an idea. Scrap last seasons bet. And what about this..... Think of a bet and if you win, I send you a six pack of Irn Bru and a box of Scottish Tablet. And if I win, you send me a six pack of the best Root beer, and some decent beef jerky? Can't get enough of the Root beer.

"I'm an all things Michigan fan" It's a wonder I keep talking to ya...

Anyway, if we say "Dafence" would that be better? Officially it was a MSU hat last year, and this new one sounds good too. Can you not get root beer over there? R&W is my favorite.

It's more a "Difence" than a "Dafence" Ohio, :D

We get American A&W root beer here, but it's too bloody expensive. Pretty sure it'll be cheaper in your neck of the woods. Similar with Irn Bru. I can get it for 50pence a can down the local Tesco.

Was going to go for Leicester, but I think maybe they'll do not too bad. Was actually going to put Aston Villa in there instead of Hull.

Best of luck, and We shall remember the bets are in this thread, so we can do updates as the season progresses.

Ohio, what about a similar bet but just choosing the six play off teams? The most win.

I'll go with (in no order)

1. Nottm Forest.
2. Derby County
3. Wigan Athletic
4. Fulham
5. Norwich City
6. Blackburn Rovers

Currently,

Newcastle
QPR
Burnley
&
Bolton
Fulham
Blackpool

Only 1 for me so far.

And the Ohio IRN BRU bet;

currently,

Norwich
Forest
Wolves
Watford
Ipswich
Derby.

It's me 3 Ohio 3 at the moment.

I'll need to set time aside later and check that, Derick.

Morphy made comments about me and Lord Lucan in another thread. Can anyone help me with this? I'm confused.

Don't get it either, still it's a fascinating crime thriller The Lord Lucan story.

Certainly is.

To make it easier, I have edited the very first post of this thread with all of our choices..... Makes it easier to check, scrolling through the thread etc... , don't know about you , but that's a massive pain in the arsehole, or as*hole for Ohio!

OHIO:

Our bet finished 1-1. You predicted ITFC for a top 6 finish. I predicted Norwich. Our other five picks were duffers.

Very true, buddy...... Was waiting until end of season. Picking two of the three relegation places is actually very good going. You should win the bet just for doing that! :D
