When you scored that first goal last nIght I could see it coming when made a mistake and I thought here we go again the Ipswich hoodoo had arrived. And what a great strike it was but I thought Cardiff were playing well enough to pull it back. Whe Witts scored with an even better strike I thought yes we can do this . We went in at HT on equal terms which I thought was fair.
Second half was ours but what I and others around me couldn't understand was the subbing of Williams which was like taking the engine out of the car. But I'm happy and with two wins against teams above us there is a different feeling down here in Cardiff

That, I'm afraid, reveals our weakness. Only 5 of our 13 games so far have been against teams currently in the top half of the table. Of those 5 we have lost 2, drawn 3, and failed to win any.

On the plus side, last night is the first game this season we have lost when winning. Before then, we'd drawn 3 from losing positions and drawn 2 from winning positions.

All runs have to come to an end and it is unfortunate that this one ended in the manner it did. I'm sure it was nothing more than a blip and Town will come fighting back against Huddersfield.

Keep the faith.

Obviously like most very disappointed with the result, but all runs must come to an end at some point. We are not far off the play offs and Automatic slots so no need to slash wrists just yet. Would really like to see the Dids of old come back because after his head was turned by the bid reports say he has´nt been 100% his old self. Murphy just goes from strength to strength and long may it continue.

Its a must win against Huddersfield to get us back on trail. All teams near the top will lose at some point we just have to capitalise on our chances. This season its still very tight at the top.

My original post in reply to the opening post seems to have mysteriously disappeared so I best tone this one down.

why no post after the last 8 games JR ??? Is it something to do with the fact we didnt lose any of them ? Suddenly after one poor result you jump on here like a ferret down a hole. I suspected as much and you didnt disappoint.

I honestly think it's just the way of the world when in written form, Mike. People can be quietly content but offer audible (in words) discontent.

I don't think Rusher favors Norwich it's just like some previous participants we've had before that become more active when Town suffer a setback and voice their opinions, it doesn't necessarily indicate they have any leanings towards that b*stard horde from the green and yellow city. While we're at it, and I can't stand the team in question, but kind of miss the days when actual City fans would come on the pages and get involved (invariably receiving a backlash sooner or later) as it did at least provide some entertainment / fun reading. They're in short supply these days.

Sadly educational standards in Norfolk aren't what they once were. Reading and writing being particularly deficient!

I think the fact that someone removed your message without apparently having the decency to tell you is is pretty bad Mike, to be honest. Surely you are owed an explanation.

Perhaps one of our esteemed Moderators will own up and offer an explanation.

In fairness moderating is not easy when you get idiots like me taking exception to someone's post, I just cant abide this thing where people only post when we have lost, honest to god I get so angry, I know it is people's right and I like to think it is my right to object to it also.

I didn't actually see anything wrong with your post Mike, but the principle of having it removed without informing you why, stinks. Also, where is the continuity: I have been called a tw*t, arsehole and turd (amongst others) in the past and nothing has ever been done about it. It doesn't bother me as it's water off a duck's back, but I still think you should have been informed.

This will probably be removed as well, but the truth is, JRthur is an out and out c*ck and gets all that he deserves.

Actually that's factually wrong BB and you know it it as I dealt with the issue regarding a former poster.

And yes an esteemed moderator deleted a couple of posts in this thread as the response to the OP was over the top.

I don't wish to be pedantic Frosty, but the person who called me a turd still posts on here regularly. It doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Do you not agree that it would be common courtesy for a Moderator to tell someone their post was being removed, along with a reason for doing so? It would show Moderators transparency in justifying their decisions. After all, we wouldn't want a situation where a contributor thinks he/she is being picked on by an individual Moderator.

Power can do funny things to people you know and they don't always handle it in a fair and just way.

I guess that's up to each individual moderator BB. I feel no power from being a moderator, I merely use the functionality of the moderator features to try and enhance or contribute to the forum . I employ 70 people so being a mod on here isn't really thrill seeking role.

Rather than escalate this issue it was felt it best to gently moderate the thread, please don't try and escalate the drama.

I will alert the moderator involved to your concerns

By the way I see you have reported 3 posts JR ... Obviously they will be reviewed in the normal manner, however have you ever for one minute considered that the way you post contributes to the responses you receive?

People on here are passionate about the club and if you don't have the bottle to accept the responses your posts generate, then I strongly suggest you stop posting.

Please be assured Frosty that my comments were not directed at you personally. I hope my exchanges with you on previous issues reinforce that.

Rather than trying to escalate the matter, I was giving my opinion on the matter of informing a poster if their comments are removed.

I hope we understand each other now.

Keep smiling.

Oh.i get it.....a few of these idiots start pandering to you "FROSTY" and now you strongly suggest that I don,t express my opinion. I take 2 days off work and travel to Cardiff and you feel me and my mates are not passionate about following our team......(both home and away most weeks).. Not one of these idiots who slag me off have anything to say about the game.....or any other f,kin game......They just post the usual crap about me only posting after a poor result........(never mind the draw away to Forest and the draw against 10 men at home to Blackburn).....Then there is the rubbish about me being uneducated....from Norfolk.....and a tw*t...pr*ck etc. So what place has that got on a forum ? So...instead of replying to the post....or the game.....a few idiots decide to gang up and start a volley of abuse. Ok...one points out that I only come on here after a bad result and 8 weeks. At least I don,t come on here spouting pathetic abuse at people. My previous post was the sad loss in the Capital Cup game away to Crawley......

I posted my comment on walking into my home at 4am after a long trip there and back to Wales.........with two long traffic diversions......and .....at that time.....was pretty pissed off..I was expressing my opinion that the team could of won the game. Big Deal !!!......And ...as you say.....I don,t have the bottle to accept all this crap ?......ha ......Pathetic.

No one panders to me JR ... My views are strictly my own.

The thread was edited ie posts that we felt were harsh on your OP were removed (without any pandering from you either BTW).

Once again I reiterate, maybe just think a little how you write your posts as I guarantee you the same responses will occur again and again.

You can come out with all the crap you like JR, personally I dont believe a bloody word you say and it is you that needs to get a life, the way you choose to use the forum is pathetic and really not what I call supporting your club at all. I certainly dont need to gang up with anyone, my thoughts are purely my own regarding you and other sad arses who like nothing better than appearing on here every time we get beat to have a pop at the club. It has nothing to do with the fact you were disappointed at losing to Cardiff, for me is the fact we didnt see you after on here after the games against Derby, Millwall, Brighton, Wigan, Rotherham, Sheff Wed, Forest and Blackburn, surely even you can see the pattern.

I can't believe where this thread is going. The original post was quite innocuous and probably factually correct. I can be as guilty as JR regarding posting negative comments, and as Marko says it is a fact of life that many of us feel the need to comment when things go wrong but happily sit back without comment when things go well. The response to then post has nothing to do with what JR said, more to do with who said it.

I have often seen it from the other side of the fence - finding blue-tinted over-optimism unbearable when we have managed a win while playing poor football. We all see things differently and I guess we all fall into one of 2 categories - seeing all the good things or all the bad things.

I agree with Billy that it would be nice if mods could let people know that their posts have been removed, preferably with an explanation. And to suggest that JR should think about how he words his posts is ludicrous, at least on this occasion, as it was a harmless observation that I imagine most people at the game would agree with.

I suppose if I was having a chat in a pub I might come out with comments like I see in this thread in the heat of the moment. But Jesus, why can't people take a deep breath, count to 10 and think before they hit the Submit button?

On the whole I don't disagree with you Andy, however I have seen threads exactly like this one, with the same players go the same way in the past.

Maybe I know too much behind the scenes history on here for my own good.

Anyway, my mistake .... I will just lock threads like this in future rather than letting them get out of hand.

It's far more entertaining when they do get out of hand. People just need to be a bit more thick skinned or give as good as they're prepared to take.

There are one or two on here who occasionally have a pop at me for one reason or another and it doesn't bother me a jot, I think some people are far too sensitive which isn't a quality you need if you want to be part of a footie forum where we all have very different views.

"Get a life" is probably about right..... there are far more important things in life than a footie forum and more important than our beloved football team.

Let's hope we can win on Saturday and all be friends again.

Frosty.

We live in a country with (supposedly) free speech and I don't think you should lock a thread unless it gets very seriously out of hand.

I like to think we all ponder before we post something and I damn sure that JRthur knows exactly what he is posting and is well aware of the reaction he will get. Football has always been emotive and as Charnwood rightly says, don't dish it out unless you can take it.

So please JRthur, go on posting your bullshit, but stop whining and bleating when you get the response you crave so much. After all, you have a reputation to defend.

Have to agree with these comments entirely.

Tbh I don't give a toss whether people think I'm talking bollocks (the missus often tells me I am so I'm used to it). There are some people on here who tend to have blue tinted spectacles and others who seem to only pick up on things when results are not going well. For me that is all part of the forum and therefore, I accept it.

Have to say (typically of me) i agree with the lot :D  people should say their opinions whether thats critical of the the team or Club its their right/choice to say what they want. Win lose or Draw we all see the same match differently so to find others with a different opinion should´nt come as a suprise or an annoyance.

Get a life ,get a thicker skin, write about the good Things with OUR Club and the bad, and dont take others posters opinions to Heart so much. Would like to add I agree that mods should give an explaination of why they have moved or deleted a thread out of common curtesy. I think Ive had one removed over the fifteen or so years Ive been posting and Im still furious.........only kidding.
