What a massive 3 points tonight, we by far the much better team can you believe Murphy has 10 goals now  Hyam will miss Saturday 5 bookings. Roll on Saturday

Great game, McGoldrick might not be getting the goals but boy can he assist them. We were all screaming shoot when he was free on goal but he kept the ball and what a pass to Murphy.

Just seen the goals on Sky tv. Murphy's first must be one of his best in a Town shirt, absolutely fantastic.

What a super night for Town fans, a totally dominant display I felt almost from start to finish. I thought it was one of if not the best performance at home all season against a team who had lost once in 13 matches. Despite having a few players out it hardly showed. The midfield quartet were excellent tonight with Tabb & Hunt in particular getting through so much good work and giving super displays while Bru & Hyam werent far behind. We had a good tempo about us and used the ball well, closed them down and hardly gave them time to create anything of note, our passing by and large was very good too.

I felt the defence was solid almost throughout and the threat of sako really didnt materialise at all. What can we say about the strikers, Murphy is absolutely on fire right now and what a opening goal, another scorcher, while the second one showed all the composure of a top class striker and fair play to Didsy who played through a perfectly weighted pass to put Murphy through, Murphy really is god right now and can do no wrong.

At the time I thought their goal was down to a Bialkowski error but I could be being harsh on him although he did look a liitle edgy at times but reall had little to do by way of real saves, his kicking aint bad though. It would have been a travesty had we not won that match, for me we played them off the park and deserved the points. Only one negative from tonight is a Fifth yellow for Hyam which rules him out of Saturday but hopefully Bish or Williams will be fit.

All in all a great night and with results also going well in a few games we are back up to fifth and only Three points off the top, we can rue those points lost in the 93+ minute because in truth we should be top but that may come soon enough. A great night for the Pride Of Anglia.

It was a pleasure to meet up before the game with John (Gold&Black) and his lovely daughter Donna, hopefully we can do it again some time and sorry we spoilt your evening mate.

I think Mike has said it all really. An excellent all round performance and a thoroughly deserved win. We gave the ball away once or twice in dangerous positions in the first half, but that was because we were trying to play good football rather than just hoofing it. We will indeed miss Hyam, and the Wolves goal was one of those nightmare balls for the keeper. He darent follow the ball to the far post because a striker looks like he might get a head on it. He doesn't and the ball goes tamely into the corner. Really pleased by the way we responded, going for the win. My 3-0 defeat prediction was hopelessly out. A great win with some good football, lo of fight and 2 stunning goals.

As Mike said definitely one of our best home performances of the season and a thoroughly deserved win.

Thought Hunt was tremendous tonight, his work rate was fantastic and it was most certainly the best performance I have seen from him in a Town shirt. Really couldn't fault any of the team tonight and hopefully we can put in a similar shift on Saturday.

A privilege to be there last night, and to witness not just a fantastic result, outstanding individual and team performances, but also to be part of the journey that has taken from the depths of despair not so long ago, to a far better place. Without over-cooking it, the feeling of optimism, togetherness and determination that is restoring us to be a 'proper' club again has been well worth the wait! Keeping the faith is a much underrated emotion! :D

Couldn't get there last night, but listened on the radio and saw the goals on TV. What superb goals from Murphy: I can't help but remember how he was wasted when Jewell and Keane played him out on the wide left.

He is now rightly getting all the credit he deserves.

And where oh where is Mr Usher?????? oh I know we won so he wont comment, or probably sulking about scum losing.

Now quick question to BB, you stated a cast on certainty 2-1 result, with a trust me to boot, :) so are we mystic Meg in disguise now BB

I wont leave you out Marko good prediction 2-1,
On another note did you cop a load of the Jags 3-3 with The Hams, bloody good match, watched the highlights on Alba TV, all in Gaelic gobble gook, absolute pish, and we've got them in the next round of the cup as well, The Hibbies are not doing too bad either, just picking themselves up from a disaster start, so will they get promoted or is it a Jambo's & Rangers certainty

Hardly mystic, Ashford. More of a well-balanced forecast based on a statistical analysis of Town v Wolves matches over the last thirty years, along with wind and tide predictions and importantly, not forgetting a full moon. Mind you, full moons always affect me.

Thanks Mike and it was a pleasure meeting you, Halemblue and your friends, and thanks for the hospitality you gave to Donna and myself, and Donna says it was great meeting you all.
I go along with your take on the match,
Every credit to Ipswich Town on a great performance, especially Steven Hunt and Chris Berra
who both got a great reception from us.

We have this conspiracy theory that Mick has signed Leon Clarke but has not told our Kenny yet lol.
I'm sure he don't play for us. I think Sako came to that conclusion as well. :?

yeah you lot aint getting rid of ol G&B that easy  .

my take on the game, it was always going to be a tough game with Mick and Terry giving your team an edge over us.. Hunt played out of his skin the little git.. :? and Chris was a rock as usual. both well respected by us and Hunt got a standing ovation when he came over for the second half. (although we were standing anyway but you know what I mean  )

When Sako or Dicko don't play we are to flat, they both together put the opposition 10 yards back which works well, Clarke is well out of his depth in the champ, Murphy is a good goal poacher and had a good game, think he score both goals.?? job to pick out your MOM as they all played well, although Leon must have come close    the ref made some strange decisions but don't they just always.

we both scored a fluke goal so 1-0 to the Town would be about right.

just remember we have only given you a loan of those 3 points, we will have them back at the MOL. 8)

This win couldn't have come at a better time and the confidence taken away from this game should set us up nicely for two top of the table clashes with Watford & Bournemouth. If we can take a minimum two maybe even four points from these two games we will have done exceptionally well against three top teams. I know it's early days but it does feel good at the moment especially with Murphy firing on all cylinders.
