Millwall fans at it again fighting in the stands. Okish 2nd half Ipswich started it on the back foot and seemed a bit panicked at back. Parrs goal was excellent finishing.

Job done. More professional performances like that against lower sides are just what we need for the next few games.
Back in the top 2 again. Niiice.

As others have said good to grind a result out and pick up points against poorer teams as we have to do that to maintain our challenge at the top..first half wee looked well on top , second half we were poor but put away the chance we did get , after the third it picked up again.
So a positive but still need to pick up our from a little bit lucky we have teams from the bottom to pick back up our from and hopefully get rid of the bug from the squad...just got to keep the results rolling.!!

Great win we really were made to work for it 2nd half. At 2-1 i was a bit nervy but when that 3rd goal went in i think everyone blew a sigh of relief.

Really well taken goal from Parr.
Great performance all round today. We looked solid again, although Millwall were pretty poor. They lack any quality.
Bialkowski didn't have a save to make that I can remember. He couldn't have done anything about their goal.
Murphs could do with a goal, but it's great that without DM, Noel did a great job.
Mings is getting better by the game.
Well done boys. Next stop my house for a big game with the Seagulls.
Will pop kettle on...

Three consecutive games against teams in the bottom six provides us with an excellent opportunity to pick up nine points, however we will need to be on our guard against complacency as each of these teams will be fighting for survival so we can expect tough games despite their lowly positions.

A very welcome Three points to put us back in the top Two and all the more rewarding as we had a few regulars out today. It gets the Derby defeat out of our system already and despite slipping up to them we are once more above them. With Brighton, Wigan and Rotherham up next I would be well happy with Seven points from those games as I dont think Brighton will be easy although having Lewis Dunk sent off today is a big plus for us as he is a big player for them at the back.
After Wednesday we have a 10 day rest which is coming at a most welcome time, it will get the virus out of the system and a chance for a few others to have a well earned rest. From what I saw of the game which was only the first Hour we looked as comfortable as we have ever been in the first half and it really should have been 4 or 5 but for some iffy finishing, poor Murphy looks shattered to me a rest is what he needs. I thought Anderson looked up for it too while the Hunt sisters did really well for the first goal, very well done to Noel for the two goals, I said before the game that the players coming in need to grab their chance and he did just that, as did Freddie Sears with the assist for Parr's decisive third. It sounds as though we rode our luck at times second half although it is good to read that Bialkowski again had no save to make, how many times do we read this ?
Back in the automatic promotion places is such a good feeling tonight and the capitulation some are fearing shows no sign of happening just yet.

3 points away from home when we have several key players out and have actually performed particularly well. Yip, I'll take that all day long!

Was looking at the table , and if we keep at point for point for those below us it,s only 18 games to play off,s place as a minimum..!!..time fly,s when your having fun.!!..i know loads of football to go

but i,m sure most of us have tried mad mathematical equations already..!!

The only mathematical equation I've done is we are now safe from relegation.

Having got ourselves into such a good position I'd like to see us keep a strong focus on one of the automatic promotion places as all of a sudden the play offs is looking a less attractive proposition. Fine if your mid table and looking to make top six but now we are where we are I don't fancy a four team play off with the likes of Midflesbrough, Watford, Brentford or dare I say even Norwich if they get their act together.
The activity over the last 24hrs suggests to me that MM/ME also believe that we have great opportunity to achieve promotion this season even tho they're unlikely to say so publicly, all we can hope is that we can steer clear of any serious injuries or loss of form at a critical time.
For the time being it has to be about taking "one game at a time" and believability.

Great 3 points, job done - move on. Consistency now the key; forget perfect performances (take note Micky Mills!), the strength and effectiveness of this squad lies in the sum of its parts! and an outstanding manager and assistant.
Nice, also, to have suddenly discovered an attacking, goal-scoring midfielder. Take a bow J Parr

I think it is quite a compliment to the boys that we can grind out a good win with Gerks, Bishop, Skuse, Hyam and Didsy all absent, we arent as thin on the ground as we sometimes think.

Next 7 games look winnable. 5 wins from 7 would keep things going nicely. Then comes Norwich.......

Just got back.
As I said before the game the most important thing today was the result and how we accomplished it didn't matter. Certainly not a game for the purist but as has often been said the type that needs to be won if we are to achieve our goal.
If we had managed to have got the 3rd goal in the first half when we were on top I honestly believe we would have gone on and scored 5 or 6 as the Millwall players heads would have really dropped. However, being Town we had to lose our concentration just before the interval and let them back in the game.
2nd half we didn't create as many chances and although we were keeping Millwall at arms length there was always that concern that a mistake could still cost us severely. Therefore, Parr's goal was a huge relief (what a cool finish as well) and well and truely put the game to bed.
Was impressed with Sears for the short time he was on the pitch and he certainly seems to have some pace about him. Has Mick pulled another rabbit out of the hat with the signing of Noel Hunt as he has certainly contributed in a big way so far in the short time he has been here.
All in all not a fantastic performance but one which could have a significant bearing on the remainder of our season.

Thanks for that Shed and yes I think he has pullled a rabbit out of the hat with the signing of Noel Hunt, he has pretty much won us six points already, I am glad Didsy was out today as he has been poor at it could ahve been a different scenario today had he played.
