We'll still get at least one more chance, certainly I'd be happy to take a point now.

From the middle of the box just 10 yards out, shot wide.

Now into added time.

FT 3-2 to Brighton. Oh well we can't win them all. Let's have a good 10 days rest and come out fighting against Wigan.

Can't believe we conceded three goals against a Brighton side that had previously only scored 27 goals all season.

Very disappointing but this is what happens in the Championship.

total disaster if other results go against us. Dread to think norwich closing the gap to just 4 points.

Really was excited about this game and going top.
Not good for our confidence. Glad to have the 10 days to recover.
Onward and upward.

And i heard at least 4 people say today "Oh we'll beat Brighton there near bottom of table" Table position doesn't matter in this League anyone can beat anyone if they play well.

It's not a case of expecting to win Lucy, it's a case of having to win games against teams especially those in the lower regions of the league if we have aspirations of gaining promotion via one of the automatic places.

We haven't played well since before Derby. Just how big will that loss be for us
I was at Millwall game i thought we played fine?. Yh second half was a bit rough but we played a decent game.
Yes we did well but it is all forgotten by some cus of a rare defeat.

before the Derby games defeat was rare. Not so rare in recent weeks. Could this be our run of bad form just when we least need it?

Wigan H
Rotherham A
Sheff Weds H
Fulham A

Out of our next 4 games i believe we will win at least 2 if not 3 of these. Fulham away i can't see us winning but i could be wrong.

If this is our 'blip' then happy for it to happen now, look at our run in March into April, thats when we need to be firing on all cylinders.

Never good to lose but thats the way it goes, we are 3rd and only point or two in it, long way to go but really pleased we are in this position and still all to play for.

Bet Bournemouth didn't see last night coming either lol. Chin's and heads up everyone, enjoy the break.

I can't believe that Brighton would have wanted it more than we did Lucy, it's just serves as a reminder that we have no divine right to expect to win just because we're near the top of the league and our opponents were near the bottom. These are always "banana skin" fixtures that we will sometimes win and sometimes lose. The fact that we scored two goals away from home should provide some consolation and put a stop to any fears of a confidence crisis setting in.

Just watched the highlights on Sky and it looked a little worrying how easy they cut through our defence to score their goals. Brighton really looked to have won in style and Liverpool loanee Joao Teixeira looked something special.

We had a great chance to grab a draw right at the end but on the balance of play Brighton look to have deserved their win.

Nine days to regroup and get ready for the next challenge, in the meantime we have to wait and see if Derby can win at home against Blackburn next Tuesday to push us down to 4th, but even then we'd still only be one point off top spot.!

It's certainly not going to be easy trying to secure one of these top two automatic promotion places but it's good to see we have another goalscorer having joined our ranks. Welcome Freddie Sears I think we may need you.

COYB, we don't really have too much to be gloomy about.

Charny, that is exactly what I was saying before the game when I said we may get a draw and not a win, we have "No Devine Right" and these games are never easy, I.E. a "Banana skin" and so it proved. It really isnt a major issue, yes disappointing to lose but a glance at the table and the upcoming fixtures still leaves me very confident indeed. One point off top spot and we have lost the least games in the Division, that isnt going to change overnight. Yes last night looks like it was a game to far and this break is most welcome. Even as average as we were Murph still had an amazing chance to grab a point, unfortunately he missed a sitter for about the only time this season. Two wins in our next two and we will almost certainly be Top Two and possibly even Top.

What's stood out for me in the two recent Championship games we've lost, is that in both games the opposition had an outstanding midfield player. Against Derby it was Will Hughes who dictated everything in midfield, and for Brighton it was the little Spaniard Joao Teixeira who scored two goals from his attacking midfield position and looked almost unplayable. At Ipswich we don't have a single stand out player like either of these and rely on a workman like midfield team. Teddy Bishop has the potential to be a "stand out" player but is still someway off.

This is not a criticism but simply an observation of where we might be lacking in recent games we've lost.

Maybe also last night Skuse was a little rusty, cos wouldn't he normally be the player who breaks up the oppositions midfield play.

Just seen the goals on the TV and I don't think any keeper would have saved any of those shots.
It was just 1 of those nights, we score 2 away from home and come away with nothing.
Both town goals we well taken by our front 2 lets hope they can continue till the end of the season.

I asked tge same question. He isnt scoring , but he often instigates play by an excellent pass forward ro dtoss field to open up play.

i still maintain hes our creative , scoring midfielder.
