Looks like close to 4k making trip to Fulham sat 14th for the game......get in there!

Just glad Sunderland won the replay tonight otherwise it was going to be a right pain in the arris for me to get there if it had been played midweek although I would have made it somehow.

But all that aside......., that's a pretty impressive away support heading down to London to the Cottage.

Be a great day out. I used to live within walking - or crawling, hic - distance of Craving Cottage. They retained a standing area and can remember watching a Town game there when Barry Hales and Louis Saha were about. Nappy Days!

I'd really like to get to this one especially given that my daughter lives only a couple of miles away the other side of the river. Just a little annoyed I've already commited to big Night Out in Leicestershire on the evening of the 14th. I'll just have to see if I can sell the tickets on.

Unlike 3999 others I'd have preferred this one to be a midweek night match.

The rematch falls on my brothers bhday so would of been a no no for me. Anyone been to Fulham before?. What is the ground like?.

Never been to Fulham before but looking forward to this one, the atmosphere should be cracking with nigh on 4000 going.

The first time I went to Craven Cottage was back in 1974 when we played Fulham in a league Cup tie.

As we got near the ground the fog started to get thick and soon after we arrived David Best our goalkeeper at the time came out to tell us the game was off. It was re-arranged for the next night and so had another trip back to the Cottage. We drew that game and beat them in the replay at Portman Road.

I too am looking forward to going to Craven Cottage next Saturday, with a couple of Italian colleagues who have quickly become honorary members of the Blue Army! Great to hear that close on 4,000 away fans will be making the trip (although that's an awful lot of other halves to make it up to...!).

Does anyone know about the special boat service that is running on the day to take ITFC supporters to the game? They were speaking about it on BBC Suffolk at the weekend but I didn't catch any contact details...not that I imagine there are any spaces left...

Aaaagh - not 1963. Remember it well. I was on the riverside terrace and the guy next to me had been to West Ham in the morning and seen them beat Blackburn 8 -2. 21 goals in two top division matches in less than 5 hours! The return matches were two days later and in both cases the home teams won! We beat Fulham 4-2 although the fog was so bad in the second half those of us in Churchmans stand didn't see the winning goals!

Some would argue how could the team of '63 lose by such a huge margin, especially one year after being league champions. I didn't follow the club until maybe 13, 14 years later but was it simply a freak score or had the team fallen away that much in such a short space of time. The 1995 loss by a similar score was more understandable as we did indeed have a poor squad at the time of the second game.

Alf Ramsey's Championship winning team peaked in April 1962. 62-63 saw the start of the decline and 63-64 (the season of the Fulham defeat) saw total decline and relegation. The performance on Boxing Day was inept (too much celebration the day before?) yet pretty much the same team won the return match two days later. My other excursion to London that season was to Tottenham where we lost 6 - 3 but at least we had the excitement of a Gerry Baker hat trick!
