Are "asking" clues allowed? For example....., can I ask if it's indeed a soccer player?

Re: WHO AM I. QUIZ
Yashin was awarded the Order of John Lenin in 1967, the highest award of the USSR
( I did look that up)
i remember Lev showing John his trophy and Paul asked where did he get it, and lev yashin said
“back in the USSR, And Ringo said “there's a song there i think”
...............................................................................................
OK New Question, try and take this one serious Saint
I played at Wembley in an FA CUP Final, the same year as I played at Hamden Park in the SCOTTISH FA CUP FINAL
I Played the next year in the EUROPEAN CUP FINAL at Wembley.
Who am I..

Wasn't aware of the other response, I guessed it was Gerd Mullermarko69 wrote:Didn't think it'd be Lev Yashin......, Blueblood had a question a few pages back with the same player as the answer. Gosh darn it to Beelzebub.
If I hadn't supplied the relevant position of play this would have gone on until Thanksgiving.
Yashin was of course - the greatest goalkeeper that ever played. And you got to go some to be ahead of names such as Banks, Southall, Clemence, Buffon, Oliver Khan, Shilton etc. Should have been honored with a World Cup winners medal but was edged out by West Germany in '66

Re: WHO AM I. QUIZ
cant disagree Saint, I was lucky enough to see him play once, those type of players have long gone now, when you see the actors/players of today you wonder how much he would be worth in the transfer market.saint jude wrote:Wasn't aware of the other response, I guessed it was Gerd Mullermarko69 wrote:Didn't think it'd be Lev Yashin......, Blueblood had a question a few pages back with the same player as the answer. Rupert Bear was sarcastic humor.
I've seen the above many times but can't recall right now who it is. I believe it was during the 1970s but not 100 per cent.
I'll give it some thought
