Nice game, Berra, but Bailkowski got you out of jail at the end there!

I didn't watch it as I'm out at work, but please tell me we didn't try and defend a 1-0 lead until the end.

Next six games are massive, but so are the two or three that could well follow... This is a great end to the season - lets hope we can keep it going!

Re: Ipswich Town vs AFC Bournemouth Match Preview
Damn it they got an equalizer with eight or nine minutes left in the game ? Still, on the basis they had the lions share of possession and created more opportunity they were deserving of a point. Obviously they're a good team and could so easily have taken all three points from todays visit. The time of the goal feels more like a defeat than a draw but we'll realize in time that we were perhaps lucky today to take anything from the game and Bialkowski deserves man of the match honors for keeping them out with a fine display. Still hard not to feel pissed off though as we came so close to three much needed points and another win over one of the other promotion candidates. Still remain in the play-off zone after all that and despite the disappointment of their late goal we remain very much involved.

I think the next 3 are most important tbh. Huddersfield,Blackpool and Cardiff we definately need 6/7 points. Anything less and game over i thinksupershred wrote:Next six games are massive, but so are the two or three that could well follow... Lucky to get a point after a perfect start but Bournemouth were all over us all game and deserved there point so can't really argue about it really as before game thought we would lose so good point.

As I said I didn't watch so can't really comment, but the way butcher described it, he took the player first, then some more of the player afterwards.

Re: Ipswich Town vs AFC Bournemouth Match Preview
We should not be too disappointed with this result, yes we were close to all Three but in truth Bournemouth deserved at least a draw and are a very good side who use width so well to stretch the opposition. We had our moments are werent disgraced at all but Bart did save us on 2 or 3 occasions with some super stops. I thought we played pretty well all things considered and defended resolutely.
The game at Huddersfield will determine just how good a point this was because if we win there it will have been a good easter for sure. Good to see freddie get on the scoresheet again and I personally thought varney was superb today. There is no doubting the ability of Bournemouth but OMG what a bloody bunch of wimps they are, going down under every slight bit of contact, rolling and diving all over the place, they don't need to do it and thankfully the referee wasnt sucked in.
As it stands we still 6th and Three winnable games coming up, all is far from lost and better still Derby have jusat gone behind.

Well to be honest they were the better footballing side that has been here this season.
BUT why do they fall over and appeal for the most minor of things they have no need to do it
sorry blue mike we must have posted at the same time.

Its called cheating, bluejacko! They remind me of a continental or south american side. Full of skill and good passing style, but cheat at the drop of a hat and dive like its going out of fashion. Frankly had Town players done the same, we'd have had a player sent off. The ref bottled it on many occassions today IMO.
A draw was probably a fair result and Town played very well and certainly not the total hoofball team we are painted out to be, we mix it up quite well. If we play like we have in the last 2 games, for the rest of the season I think webwill be in that top six.

Re: Ipswich Town vs AFC Bournemouth Match Preview
I really wanted to win this one as I hate the hype around Bournemouth this season. They spent the game diving, whining and just generally acting like children not getting their way because they were losing. The wasted any decent chance they had and then scored from a bloody corner.
Then again, I wouldn't mind seeing them get destroyed in the Prem.

Re: Ipswich Town vs AFC Bournemouth Match Preview
Town fans commenting on the game.
The scum called themselves the "Chelsea of the Championship" at the start of the season. If anything that's us. Fcuk possession, we'll make you make the mistakes. Well drilled, tactically astute and hard as nails. If we had a racist wifeshagger in the team as well as the best manager in the division we'd fit the bill perfectly.
For all Sky's attempts to talk the ball in the net, we were every man a hero I thought. Very little was made of the class we had when we used the ball to push them back - Bishop had a great start to the game and was classier than anyone until he seemed to dip after half an hour or so. But that move by Sears, Skuse and Tabb down the left to pin them back was sexy as.
Gutted, their goal was a jammy glance - we deserved to do them for all their arrogance and Bastardlona posturing. Arter is the graceless scumbag you'd love to see disappear from the game quicker than Callum Wilson's studs.
To think Varney was greeted with such horror by some, he must be near cult hero status for his last two performances. That amount of running and guts was excellent, he deserved a goal as much as anyone out there. Fryers didn't have a bad game either. Just shame Wood came into it too late, and we didn't get the ball to him or Murphy enough.
Let the Howe blame and blubfest begin.... 3 points at Hudds and we're golden. The "best team in the league" couldn't beat us, says all you need to know to me.
Terrific performances by every single player today. Bart superb saves; Chambers dealt with the right side well; Smith solid again; Berra MOTM outstanding; Fryers initially looked a bit shaky but grew into the game; Sjuse was here there and everywhere stopping them from playing; Bishop ran himself into the ground; Varney close 2nd for MOTM - phenomenal running and brilliant spring in his jump; Tabb terrier like; Sears superb running, well-taken goal; Murphy great hold-up play, lovely touch down then pass for Sears; Chaplow helped stopped their flow; Wood and Clarke didn't have a lot of time to do much.
Shame the goal was a ruddy header from a corner after all that, but that game was a good example of what a bunch of horrible little bar stewards they are - dives, dirty fouls, always in the ref's ear.
Also shame about the Bournemouth love-in by the commentary team.

"A racist wifeshagger"?
Cannot pin blame on anyone for the KJones goal, he was always scoring that......, but does anyone else on the TBforum think Smith was "Solid" in the game? Honestly not trying to continually jump on his case, but holy Shyte, that laddie looks wary with every forward move from the opposition.

Regarding Bournemouth fans arguing with each other over the cheating thing........, why can they not all just be happy that they are in the 2nd tier of English football, and not the Vanarama Conference where they really belong.

Agree with you. That's the first timd he's looked remotely like the videos of his goalkeeping performances since he's joined us, ie unbelievably saves. There were 2 world class saves in the second half from memory. Long may that continue!
