At this moment I would grab the chance to take on the scum in the playoffs.

Yes they would be favourites to do us again but as they say football is a funny old game and anything can happen. The other thing to think of is there is no guarantee that we will be in this position next season, look where Brighton & Wigan finished last season and where they are now.

I brought this up before and got jumped all over on, but we cant effing score. I just don't get it. If you want promoted, you have to take care of an 18th place team. If you cant, you don't deserve to be promoted.

It's only 11 men against 11, on the day anything will occur. No team has any divine right to win any of it's games. Didn't Huddersfield have some last relegation concerns at time of play ? Guess the bottom line is, they wanted it more. And as for scoring deficiencies isn't it fair to say we only have one recognized striker. (Apologies to Sears, guess I haven't been won over) Of course there will be lack of striking productivity.

And as Shed on Tour mentioned there is no assurance that Town can duplicate the success of this season starting from this August and beyond. Although of course it's largely dependant on whether McCarthy decides to stay on this summer or see opportunity elsewhere.

Do we deserve a promotion ? I don't know, it's not so easy a question to answer as you may think. Being realistic, probably not. At least not as deserving as say Bournemouth or Watford who have had a fantastic season and have lit up this division. To achieve something you invariably have to earn it, and looking back over the season as a whole - I don't believe Town have earned that right.

One other thing (that has doubtless come to the fore before) it seems this season has been so successful and exciting, simply because of the sh*t that came before it , i.e. Keane, Jewell etc and their insipid records.

SJ quote:

End quote.

Can't speak for Jewell, but I've got a few Keane records. Well, CDs to be precise...... I thought they were pretty good.

Yes, vinyl is making a comeback isn't it? All the young ones will be thinking......, "Why?"

Well I'll join those young ones in asking, "Why" adding a ffs on the end......, "Why, FFS?"

Vinyl was sh*t. You could NEVER get an album from HMV without a scratch on it. We were forever returning albums with scratches.

School Disco 1982, "Come on Eileen" was playing....., a feckin scratched copy......, it was "Come on Eileen, ohhhh I, Come on Eileen, Ohhhh I, Come on Eileen, ohhhh I, Come on Eileen, Ohhhh I, Come on Eileen, ohhhh I, Come on Eileen, Ohhhh I, Come on Eileen, ohhhh I, Come on Eileen, Ohhhh I,............"
Absolute sh*t.

And I was into the heavy rock scene......., you just couldn't jump around your room, headbanging to Metallica or Maiden because the feckin needle would jump off the record.

God, Himself, gave us CDs. Yes they had their problems, but not in the same league as the vinyl problems. Man, himself made a bandwagon with vinyl on it, and everyone is jumping on it. :astroll:

Bit of a rant......., but its not really. I always wanted to turn a football match preview thread into a Kerrang! magazine style hatred campaign for vinyl. Job done. FK OFF VINYL
