Think the table now accurately reflects the strata of quality in our league. Nobody would argue that the top four are a little bit better than anyone else, and the next four are equally a bit better than those (a long way) below. Whoever finished 7 & 8 will be very disappointed this year. Funnily enough the same will be true for those finishing in 3rd & 4th.

For me it's really important to build some form going into the play-offs and from the second group of 4 only we have done that really. If Derby hadn't managed that late equaliser today I would have been thinking that they might be favourites to drop out of the play-offs, but Brentford and Wolves both would have been disappointed today and all three are lacking any form over the last few games. It could be that win next weekend will be enough and a good 3-0 win would likely make it near impossible for the others to catch us. But we don't do 3-0 do we

What a great season it has been in this league. I don't remember another one like it.

A single 1- 0 win for us will leave Brentford needing 2 x 3- 0 wins & Wolves a 4-0 & 5-0 wins..!!! ..(if my maths is correct)

2007/2008 was a memorable season for me. Losing 1 home game season but that dreadful away record cost us. If I remember right we finished 1 point off the Playoffs.

well done blues, a well deserved point. not one of our better performances but I think the nerves got to the team and fans.
hope those who came all had a great day and safe trip home.

Berra was great and never put a foot wrong and well worth his MOTM award..

This game didn't cost us today or was a bad performance it is those previous awful displays earlier in the season and as late as Brum away that has cost us an automatic place. On the one hand, I want to us to go up and on the other, I'm happy to be a top 8 Chump team for now.

Still six points to play for and who knows what will be - it ain't over until the fat lady sings.

Would be great to get it wrapped up and cemented next week in the final home game. I couldn't handle it for it went to the final day.

Yea, am I correct in thinking if we win next week it would take a cataclysmic meltdown the last game?

BTW, here is a good vid an Ipswich fan made on the travels to Wolverhampton

Depends on how Brentford get on at Reading.

At the moment we still hold a 4 goal GD advantage over them. So if we both won next week it then comes down to what happens on the final day. A point at Blackburn would guarantee our playoff spot regardless of what Brentford do at home to Wigan on the final day. If the current goal difference remained the same going into the final game and we lose at Blackburn by 1 goal then they need to win by 3 goals against Wigan to draw level with us. Obviously if we lost by 2 then they would only need to win by 2 and god forbid if we lost by 3 then they would only need to win by 1.

If we end up level on points and goal difference with them then I believe it comes down to goals scored in which case at this moment in time they hold the advantage over us having scored 73 goals to our 68.

If you can understand all that then you are a better man than me!!!!
