Wood re-called ?? I know he has not done a lot , but it was another option at least..a big guy that could cause trouble to defences at least...if not any goals...with our injury list would say this is not ideal at this point in time...hopefully Did,s is not miles away

Is this going to be shown on Aljazeera, if so, anyone got a stream as yet?

Contemplated the 5 hour each-way treck from Scarborough to Portman Rd but just couldn't quite convince the Mrs.

If there is one player who takes the credit in getting us to the play-offs this year it will be Murphy, another important strike. If it stays as it is then a point at Blackburn on the last day will be enough regardless of what occurs elsewhere.

Millwall have to win, the position they find themselves. Derby have a goal now also - nervous times in South London

As for ourselves we have the all important half-time advantage and doubtless McCarthy is addressing to the players how pivtoal the next 45 minutes is going to be in what's left of this season. Those at the game today try to remain calm if you can help it.

There isn't going to be a 5 goal swing between us & Brentford on the final day.

If results stay like they are now, we can go to Blackburn and lose and still be in. We're 45 minutes away from the playoffs.

When the scores at half-time were read out the Stadium erupted.

I realize I wanted another Town player to score, but not in their own freakin' goal. Still all is not lost, we still have ample time to put another in the Forest goal but other scores today appear to be mixed.

Varney comes on for Stephen Hunt. Bru comes on for John Parr

Yes f**king Freddie Sears we have a lead with time running out, and an assist from Murphy. How valuable these two players are proving this season.

Do not throw this away now

Rotherham equalize against Norwich just for good measure, and Derby are now level also - can't keep up with all this

And first time since 2005 - it's about f**king time

Long forgotten right now are the days and ineptitude of Keane and Paul Jewell who were taking this club nowhere and finally we are in a position to challenge again and the possibility of being a premier league club next season.

We got the win today but there was many a time towards the end when that seemed in doubt but the players once again have done the club proud and there should be a more relaxed attitude against Blackburn next time out. It would appear the work is just about done.

Two outstanding games elsewhere incidentally with - Millwall 3 Derby 3 - and Fulham 4 Middlesbrough 3 - and clubs fighting for something. This has been the best championship season in recent times.

What a lucky deflection for us to win the game by Sears, about time we got lucky deflection as we don't seem to get many, but who cares three points in the bag. Murphy gave us the lead just as the minute's applause was finishing and how touching that we scored from it. Knock down by Sears and bang Murphy first time strike flashed into the bottom right-corner Darlow perhaps should have done better after getting a hand on it. Then early on in the 2nd half Town do what we do best give silly goals away this time a Berra own goal. Ball from the left from Osborn and Berra slips then tries to recover the situation but does the worst thing you can do and places into the bottom left-corner, unbelievable Jeff!!! Then with 7 minutes left on the clock Sears picks the ball up edge of the box, pulls the trigger and takes a massive deflection to deceive Darlow to cannon off the right post and trickle over the line on other side. A big 3 points for Town but still sitting in 5th goal difference is the only thing that stands from us not making the play-offs.

That was tense to say the least but we got home in the end. After a dodgy start we grew into it and looked pretty comfortable by and large but where the hell did that second half come from ? A poor own goal looked as though it was going to cost us dear but that man Freddie Sears saved the day with another crucial, albeit fortunate strike, the place erupted when that went in. There is no doubt Forest have some talent in their ranks but we dug in and got it done.

Great work by Sears & Murphy for the first and a stroke of good fortune for the second but I will take that for sure. Fair play to Tommy Smith I though he had a very good game today as did Mingsy who I thought was our MOTM, Bishp and Skuse solid again while Berra played his usual game apart from the OG. Well done to Bart as well who pulled off a couple of very good saves in the second half. I thought when Varney and Bru came on they did very well especially Varney who has really impressed me since his arrival.

Unfortunately I don't think all is rosy as most seem to now think, I did expect to be home and dry with win today as I thought reading may at least turn up, alas they didnt and Brentford pulled a vital goal back on us where GD is concerned. Results have not gone our way and we definitely need a point at Blackburn, Brentford are more than capable of winning against Wigan by Two goals or more while Derby will see off Reading for sure, a single goal defeat at Blackburn will spell disaster for us. Nothing is secure yet. Gonna be a long bloody week.
