Feeling Remarkably Relaxed
About the game tomorrow.
Usually before a derby I'm apprehensive but I feel more calm about tomorrow than I have ever done. Whether that is because we are the underdogs or it's I'm just grateful for us to be involved in the lottery of going up through the playoffs again I don't know.
Anyhow, what will be will be, lets just get right behind the boys tomorrow.

Just as long as you are not swinging from it, Lucille!

May have to round a few budgies up with it if they win.

At the moment, I am too Shed. I think its because there's no pressure on us, is there. Hope the players feel the same .

Like yourself Shed, I can't believe how relaxed I feel too. Living in Norfolk, I am seeing quite a lot of. Norwich over-confidence. Mind you, with their recent record against us I can understand a bit of it.Shed on tour wrote:About the game tomorrow.

In my eyes, while not always having performed well, this has been our best season for a good few years. Reaching the play offs is a huge unexpected bonus. Anything beyond this will be beyond belief for me. The pressure is off as I expect Norwich to win. I just want to see us perform well, hopefully not being beaten a t Portman Road, to break our recent derby hoodoo. If we can defy the odds, & after all it is only 2 games, i will be ecstatic. COYB

Re: Feeling Remarkably Relaxed
In years past (I) would have been really motivated for a game of this nature but times change and don't have the same level of enthusiasm as before. In so many words don't really feel anything right now regards this game and it's a pity as really would want to be more involved, but when match time arrives things should hopefully improve and will be behind the team in trying to overcome this opposition.
One thing however that did get my attention was taking a glance at one of their piece of crap message boards and they have a masthead with a handful of famous / recognized ex-players : Fox, Holt, Fashanu, Fleming, Gunn, Sutton etc
And then here at Ipswich we have had players the caliber of Muhren, Beattie, Crawford, Wark, Phillips, Brazil..
I hope tomorrows game is as entertaining as that - and we provide them another embarrassment

You don't really feel anything towards this game? Wow.
Certainly hope that changes for you Saint as KO approaches.

Re: Feeling Remarkably Relaxed
I feel anything but relaxed. I feel like a bag of nerves, I love Ipswich and f**king hate Norwich and I so want this.
However I do feel more relaxed this week than last week. Last week I was sick in the night and didn't sleep at all. Last night I got a couple of hours.

Re: Feeling Remarkably Relaxed
Well it's the morning of the game, hardly slept and was awake again at 5 this morning. I am anything but calm, like AylesburyBlue I want this more than anything, losing again will be so hard to take, we are so close to the premier League now and even though I don't care much for the Prem I would find it tough to take to fall short now, especially against this insipid bunch of tossers.
Today could be a glorious day for us Tractor Boys & Girls and I just hope the players don't freeze or fail to turn up again when it matters most, I don't believe they will. Down to the pub for 10 o'clock and hopefully some pre match singing.

Yep I get goosebumps every time I think about the game. I felt sick on Wednesday in the queue online to get my tickets in case they sold out before I got them. Now about to have a big breakfast as I know I will be too nervous to eat once I get to the ground.bluemike wrote:Well it's the morning of the game, hardly slept and was awake again at 5 this morning.
