Hallam, I'm not on Facebook, but my cousin just text me to say that our Uncle, (who lives in Middlesbrough) is posting on Facebook with his fat English wife being a complete dickhead. If there is a sole reason that I wouldn't be too fussed about a Norwich win, it's to stick it right up Uncle John, living on benefits in fat b*stard Middlesbrough.

I'd avoid being in the same place early evening Rossi cos I have a strong feeling that they're the most likely team to win this afternoon.rossi wrote:I got luckyhallamblue wrote:marko69 wrote:Hallam, I'm not on Facebook, but my cousin just text me to say that our Uncle, (who lives in Middlesbrough) is posting on Facebook with his fat English wife being a complete dickhead. . Pulled into the BP station at Springfield, Chelmsford around 11am this morning (it's a popular stopping place for A12 traffic). There were 7 coaches and loads of cars (enough to hold just about one family) parked, and the whole area was full of tossers wearing yellow and green shirts. And me wearing one of my ITFC polo shirts too. What a time I had

Re: C'MON 'BORO !!!!
I must admit when Norwich appointed Alex Neil I thought he was a strange choice with limited experience, but my word hasn't he done a fantastic job. Surely he'll be found wanting in the Premier League.... or will he, I wonder?
It's 20 years since Bolton come back from being 2-0 down at half time and win 4-3 after extra time against Reading, can Middlesbrough do the same, somehow I don't think so.

very true - and on this viewing they are also a different class to us.bluemike wrote:Whatever we all think of them they have been different class to Boro and will walk this.
Looks as though the teams finishing third in the football league this season will all get promoted - I guess you could say that's only fair.

Re: C'MON 'BORO !!!!
Not sure if Norwich will keep that pace up, or sit back on their lead. For Boro to stand any hope, I'd say they must score in the first ten mins. If it gets to 70, it'll end up being 3 or 4 nil Norwich, Boro will be caught on the break by that brilliant Norwich fwd/Mid line.

Considering scum had to wait until we went down to 10 men before they troubled us, shows how far wd havd progressed and i know if we had played them at Wembley they wouldnt have had it as easy as they have this afternoon.bluemike wrote:Whatever we all think of them they have been different class to Boro and will walk this.
Scum will struggle next season IMO, thet havent yet managed to hold their own in PL unlike Saints and Swansea have. They are a yo yo Club, and we'll pass them at the end of next season , on our way up as Champions !

Which will most likely come to passJames Scharmann wrote:Hope they get relegated next season
Norwich City are one those clubs that go and up and down between leagues more times than a f**king elevator. Give it a year or two and they'll be a championship outfit once again. That is a certainty.
As for their promotion today, I would offer congratulations, say they've deserved it and the best team won - but - can't quite bring myself to give them any plaudits or recognition. f*ck them in all honesty.
It's not just sour grapes after the recent play-off loss, it's a long standing emnity towards the club in question, that while having lessened to a certain extent in recent years, still wants to see them fail at every opportunity and suffer misfortune.
So - hope their players and support enjoy their day out today, go home, enjoy the summer, and expect to be right back where you started today in twelve months time.
There's really very little else to be said on this

Oh how I hate bad losers.
Good luck to Norwich I say. They have been fortunate in having parachute payments, but they are therules and that should not be held against them as some on here bleat about. Please don't get me wrong, but give credit where it is due. I know some will say it is not his team, but they seem to have unearthed a good young manager whose record so far speaks for itself, although next season will present a much more difficult challenge.
Even though I dislike NCFC with a vengeance, they are our East Anglian neighbours and I am gracious enough to wish them well next season. Bastards!

At least there's 6 points more we're more likely to get next season.
I agree, they have a superb manager, great find from the board. Good luck to them, they finished 3rd and looked strong.
I hope we take their place in the top division next year.

Re: C'MON 'BORO !!!!
I wouldn't hold your hopes too high fella's about automatic promotion next season, let's see who Mick brings in during the break, if he doesn't sign a decent RB and a quality midfielder , oh an two quality wingers, then I can't see automatically getting promoted, we are broke and under FFP rules, and it's going to be a real tough season again, and if we do our regular items of losing to p*ss poor teams then we will struggle, I would like to see us play like Bournemouth out and attacking play, and go on a 20 game unbeaten run, then on the turn after Christmas go on another 20 game unbeaten run, then I think we might just do it.

Re: C'MON 'BORO !!!!
I agree with you, Barmy, but I can fully understand others not wanting to be gracious. I don't think I've ever wished anything positive towards the Jambos in my life, and that will never change. I can only imagine the majority of Suffolk based ITFC fans are filled with loathing tonight. And they'll want them to fail next season.barmy billy wrote:Oh how I hate bad losers.

Ashford, agreed. Next season will be tougher than the season just past for TC & Choo Choo. Play offs will be another great achievement.

Re: C'MON 'BORO !!!!
Hate to say it, but you're probably right mate. Our style of play isn't gonna change much, so our league position probably will depend on who we bring in. Don't hold your breath for ME to hand over the cash; it won't happen. I fear that many of the other championship clubs will have figured us out. With that said, you never know what a quality winger could do for Murphy's goal tally. And a gifted RB could indeed make us a bit more attacking. Also, a talented MF with skill and vision could result in a few more goals. Fingers crossed we'll do the business next season, but it won't be easy.ashfordblue wrote:I wouldn't hold your hopes too high fella's about automatic promotion next season, let's see who Mick brings in during the break, if he doesn't sign a decent RB and a quality midfielder , oh an two quality wingers, then I can't see automatically getting promoted, we are broke and under FFP rules, and it's going to be a real tough season again, and if we do our regular items of losing to p*ss poor teams then we will struggle, I would like to see us play like Bournemouth out and attacking play, and go on a 20 game unbeaten run, then on the turn after Christmas go on another 20 game unbeaten run, then I think we might just do it.

Re: C'MON 'BORO !!!!
I'm happy to say well done to Norwich City because their win this afternoon was thoroughly deserved and a credit to their manager Alex Neil. It will certainly be interesting to see how he approaches life in the Premier League cos one thing I'm pretty sure of is that they won't survive without buying in additional resources. However with today's win allegedly worth £120m (and that's without sharing out the spoils of the latest mega Sky deal) there's no reason why they shouldn't splash out a few million in the transfer market and spending wisely will probably be Alex Neil's biggest challenge. I certainly don't doubt his ability to get the best out of his players.
