My thoughts exactly. Hopefully he will stay but with a longer contract it should push the price still higher.trimleyblue wrote:Just means we'll get a higher price when we sell him

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Anyone make much of the link to Everton youngster....

Can remember couple of months back that JR said he would help us with any loans if we wanted them, can you see this being one of them?

Wouldn't be surprised. This player is supposedly very good and would allow options at both left and right back and also CB .

Garbutt is excellent lads.
Like really good.
If we didn't have Baines he'd not be going anyway. Much better option than Oviedo.
We are defo sending him on loan and I'd be made up if he goes to you guys for a season.
You should take a look at Conor McAleney too.

Joe Royle has stated publically to Mick McCarthy that he wants to be able to help us with any suitable loans. So I wonder how much of that influence , is in this potential loan? Good old JR still has a love for Town. He did really very well here on a shoestring budget ....just like MM is now tbh !

I don't believe this Boro sign Downing from West Ham for £5.5m rising to £7m if Boro are promoted.
I am shocked that he has stepped down a division but where are Boro getting this kind of money from?

No regular championship side can genuinely afford those sums without serious help from a chairman, they must be being ban k rolled in the hope of promotion. It's impossible to break even in this league even with an average wage bill, good attendances and no transfer spend.
Very very odd move, I can only assume he loves the club or something, he must have been on good wages at WHU, and not taken a huge drop to go to Boro. So odd really.......he was one of their best players under big Sam once he moved into the AMC role.

Well Donaldson signed contract extension to 2018 so guess that rules out that rumour of us signing him.

Ok it was only the Sun but even so his past association with Dougie Freeman does lend itself to being feasible.James Scharmann wrote:Where you read this?bluemike wrote:Jonny Williams possibly off to Bolton.

IMO we should be re-investing some of this Mings money on players like WIlliams, proven at the champ level but never had a true shot at the Prem.........plus now they have Cabaye he is further down the pecking order and would probably be available for transfer....they might only want 1-2m which could be a great investment on a promising 21 year old.

The prison number was too long to fit on such a small pic PMSL.

Ref Joniesta. If he has gone to another Club it might indicate that MM has moved on from him (injuries?), and / or got another specific target already in mind. The fact that we havent signed these other two targets, also suggests to me that they are at PL Clubs.

Haven't we made a 7 figure bid on a midfielder(allegedly)?

I have seen a lot of whispers in recent weeks regarding Austin so it wouldnbt surprise me at all, although I have seen nothing as concrete as terms already agreed, I would however be happy were the story to be correct.phily bon bon wrote:Rodolph Austin going to Ipswich after the Gold Cup already agreed terms. As for the pic PBB thanks but not sure it's great LOL. I remember Marko asking for everyone to put their actual pic up as an avatar so I thought I would be first (and probably last).

On a lower league rumour webside Hallam as most think football does'nt exsist outside the bloody premiere league.
That said he was immense when they beat us at PR two seasons ago. Kinda dropped off the radar recently but maybe he could do a job.
