Excellent opening preview there, Jamma although I haven't read the entire thing yet. And thanks for putting that caption picture up.
Tricky first game of the season, and hopefully pre-season is nothing to go by. Hoping the mighty TB's sneak a tight win. Won't be betting on it though. And Hallam......, make sure you get a bevvy in all four corner boozers before heading in......, I wanna hear YOU on the FL show!

Ref says to himself, *who is that Mick is bringing on? Another fking Jambo?* "OI, ONE EX JAMBO ON THE PARK IS ENOUGH, GET HIM THE FK OFF!"
Speaking of captions, there is a beautiful caption competition trophy all engraved up with last years winner on it. Got it done when i was on holiday. A picture of it will hopefully be posted on here soon. I'm hoping it'll make you all want to get your names on it and thus posting in plenty of funnies. I'm hoping.
Loving the mugshots as well by the way!

nice.
Welcome back, Marko - you've been missed! You must have been away for a while, as one of Brentford's four pubs has closed down and the Football League Show has been replaced by an effort by Channel 5! Oh, and presumably you knew about Messi arriving at Portman Road on a season-long loan?

I'm pleased to have been able to stand in for the caption comp but it's all yours again now!

The wait is over and now life in the Foxy household gets back to "normal". Now just to warn you all Mr Foxy doesn't like footie at all , in fact as Mike and Hallam will tell you " he would rather watch paint dry!" but then again he likes the social side of our meet ups as long as he doesn't have to go to the football itself.
Lookin forward to my trip to Brentford and its also the only "new" ground for me to visit this season but that won't stop my away day travels with Mike and Hallam.
So many new faces to get use to aswell but I'm liking Knudsen and his long throws. Of course looking forward to see the lovely Magic Murphy (fav player so get use to that lol) and Chambos winning fist pumps.
Anyway since th opening day of the season is the hardest to predict I'm going with a opening win for Ipswich.

Travelling to London tomorrow morning. My first ever visit to Griffin Park as I wasn't down there on Boxing Day.
Tomorrow for us is like a Christmas Day for kids. Such excitement.
Don't really know what to expect. Much changed Brentford team and we arguably have a better team than last year (on paper though).
Berra being suspended is a big miss.
Really looking forward to see our new additions.
Looking forward to see Foxy Lady, HallamBlue, BlueMike and others.
2-2 draw.

I just hope that if it doesnt go our way today people stay grounded and don't go into meltdown already, we will lose games.

Very surprised if some go into proper meltdown after one game. And it's true, they will lose games......, but as the season progresses, there will be games where games "should" be won, but they are not.
Got to admit, I find meltdown posts and subsequent replies highly entertaining. The early RK days with Pants Storm on board was quality Saturday evening reading.
But ITFC winning is always top priority. Tricky one today.

I am now parked up in Brentford.
I am hopeful of a positive result, especially if Gray doesn't play with the Hull interest!!
Team I am hoping for:
Bialkowski
Parr Chambo Smith Knudsen
Fraser Skuse Bru AMN
Murphy Pitman

with the 2 wingers on I think MmC has gone for the shed working midfield. Nice to have good options on the bench. Hopefully Douglas and McG will get a run out in the second half for Fraser and Sears...
Com'on the Blues!

Cant' believe the damn season is upon us again, seems like only yesterday we were involved in the play-offs.
This was the best fixture of last season for me, the 4 - 2 win in London saw us at the top of the league that night if memory serves and it was a very fine collective performance. Probably Town's greatest game of the season.
Not expecting another four goal success this time but even a one goal win would be the perfect start. A few new names in the starting XI and subs bench I don't recognize as been away from it all for a week or two. In any event, let's get a result today. A win in the opening game is always important for subsequent endeavors.

And that's a lead right on half-time, probably deserved on chances created
They're well ahead in terms of possession and this is something that needs to be rectified if we're to take all three points from todays fixture. No cautions for either side as yet, would be interesting to see McGoldrick on second half to see what he can produce today

MK Dons 4-1 up away from home? They may mean some business this season.

Read all this sh*te last night about how Sheffield United are going to be a force to be reckoned with this season. So I tipped them to win league one. They're currently getting fking pumped 3-0 by Gillingham.
